Saw Ozomatli at the Royal Festival Hall and it killed the usually amazing atmosphere of an Ozo gig.

Though I am older now so a nice sit down might be nice. ;)
Mixture of both I believe, but there is a lot of standing

Just finished my first listen of 'Twelve Reasons To Die', the new Ghostface album. It's good, way better than Wu-Block, not as good as Apollo Kids... Not sure I love Adrian Younge's production, it sounds a bit muted compared with the stuff Ghost usually raps over. It's like he wants to sound like RZA but forgot to turn the drums up.

    Looking forward to hearing that.

Younge's production on The Delfonics album that came out last month was brilliant. Psychadelic but spare.

I'd say he was more like Madlib or Dilla than Rza. Without actually being quite as good as any of those three to be fair.

    Loving this!!

Only just managed to track down Gab's most recent album. Best one yet I reckon.

I got it when it came out and have barely listened to it.

    Might pop it on now.

It's brilliant! I love all his albums but they have quite dramatic highs and lows, whereas this one is just banger after banger.

Supposed to be a new Blackalicious at some point as well apparently.

Oh, and the Mighty Underdogs collaboration with Lateef is also awesome.

Was going to say that about a new Blackalicious album. Great news.

New Latyrx album this year too apparently.

Ooooh, excellent. I did get Lateef's album (firewire) imported at great expense recently. Kinda worth it...

Of course I might be misinformed.

Hah, some of those are ridiculous at the upper end.

What a con anyway. Getting an album made and pressed isn't a big deal these days. You really seriously do not need £25k.

Hmmm, Jaden Smith appears to be a notch up on his old man!

    Young Fathers are Scottish?

They are really good but I wouldn't have guessed that.

    This guy however...

Properly excited about this White Mandingos album.

Every track I've heard from it has been serious business.

So the new R.A. The Rugged Man album is pretty awesome.

Definitely his best album so if you like him you'll love this.

His flow can really be insane at times.

Spending my evening in the company of some Tribe tonight. The Low End Theory (maybe my favourite album by any artist) - Midnight Marauders still the greatest 1-2 in hip hop history. I've been listening to them consistently for about 14 years now, since i first got into the genre. They and The Pharcyde got me into it. Everything works so well, still.

Got the bass up really high
