    We've got 4 inches of snow so far. Half my neighbours are skiving work; the news says not to drive unless I have to but I still HAVE to go to work! It's not fair! :(

    I have pulled a work swerve. All the schools I had jobs in today are closed so I am going to stay in bed. Manager will probably make me take it as holiday though!

    I might go out later and make a snowman though...

    Couldn't skip work - I walked in (15 mins).

    Plenty of snow everywhere and it's still snowing. At least it's very quiet in work, so I can play some DS during the day.

    God, I'm so juvenile. I've already made the joke about 'getting 9 inches today' to various female friends at work. If you laugh like Sid James straight afterwards, it helps as well...

    :D

    Me too, there were loads of kids in the park on the way to the shop pelting passers by with snowballs, there was a police car there when I got back out - some people have no sense of fun.

    That'll be a miserable member of the public complaining. :( If the police then did nothing and someone got a stone in the eye...

    Personally if I wasn't office bound I'd love down the park to try and get a snowball fight going after the schools in my area kick out. My team vs 1000+ kids! Doubt I'd be allowed to though. ;_;

    Unfortunately all I can look forward to today is the walk to work in it as roads/public transport will be shite.

    /sigh

    Was just buying a coffee at the railway station when i got a phone call saying that my meeting in london had been cancelled. Called the office and was told to work at home because the snow's going to get worse this afternoon.

    The snow's just started hammering down again.
    Hope it's not too much as I do want to get home tonight and not sit in traffic for hours!
    Once I'm home it can pour as much as it likes.

    I live in North London and we got a 2-3 inches of snow. I went to work (it seems only about 2/3 of people got in), but spent the morning wondering what the hell I was doing in work when I could be playing in the snow with my 2-year-old son, probably the only chance I'll get until next year.

    At about 11:00 I went and had a chat to my producer and asked whether I could take the afternoon off as holiday. She looked at me a bit funny, but let me do it anyway ;-)

    At 2:45pm I was in the park, building an igloo with little Gabriel.

    Definitely the right choice!
