@Duff it may be a blessing you have a non-autistic daughter going by the show though. The parents with two autistic children seemed cheated to be honest, that they'd never get the experience of a “normal” child. And the high-function one, seemed to have really benefited from lots of non-autistic siblings. I think it said he didn't speak at all till he was 6.
They definitely benefit from having non-autistic people around them because it helps them to learn social norms, whilst also giving the parents a degree of respite.

I didn't speak until I was 10. Until then I only communicated with colourforms and sticklebricks,

Are people on here actually taking the piss out of autism and austic children and adults alike?

Don't care if it is 'just a joke' ... go away please.

This is one of those threads where if it wasn't Dirtbox everyone'd be up in arms.

The show was good. Pretty eye opening, and scary at times. I do love Louis though.

Good episode if not a little disturbing at times with Louis just sat there while it was going down with that kid whos mum had to lay on him, all heart breaking stuff.

Only started watching his shows from the Meths one is it worth watching the back log?

Everybody has secrets, life would be boring without secrets, don't you think...?

Totally worth getting his DVDs. Some of the 'When Louis Met' ones are pretty dated and depend on you caring about the celebrity he's meeting, but the rest are top drawer.

The one where he met Jimmy Saville was probably the best thing I've seen him do, but it's all prtty good.

I thought this episode was similarly enjoyable, if a liitle tough to watch at times. The bit where that kid was looking Louis up on wikipedia was the highlight though.

The one he did with the westboro church is worth watching I'd say.

    The porn one
    The UFO one
    The prison one
    The Paedo one

All good, I'm sure there are lots of other good ones too.
