    Retarded.

Trying to find a rollback, think i'd have to use quite an old backup and lose a crap load of data in the process :/

Couldn't recommend against 'upgrading' enough really. Absolute howler.

Got an order with the Carphone Warehouse for an iPhone 5. Picking it up in store rather than risk YODEL. Not sure if I can get it tomorrow though.

Although I've not tried the maps on iPad they have been given a critical mauling. Is this now used within Yelp?

God you guys are all so negative. Can't you see how Apple are forcing the issue of better maps by having worse maps? Its truly innovative stuff in the way that Apple do it best. They're copying others, claiming it for their own, dong it worse then forcing everyone else to do it even better, meaning we ultimately get better stuff. Can't you see??

Heh, one in the Gaf thread where Shrewsbury is completely covered by cloud.

    Amazingly shit.

They'll either carry on po-faced and ignore the baiting, or they'll rollback to google maps, surely?

Unless they can magically flick a switch and completely renovate what shoddy piss poor data they currently have. There are so many problems with it I'm pretty sure the thing is stillborn.

Biggest Apple fuck up for years really.

It's weird, Google maps was better on my iPhone than it is on my Galaxy Note. Honestly. But I had no idea they were planning on getting rid of it all together! Love google maps, probably the only 'smart phone feature', next to emails, I couldn't live without.

    Pissy pants.

Has there been any word on updating an iphone 4 (not 4S) to iOS6? Worth doing (maps aside) or is it going to slow wifey's phone down to a crawl?

It hasn't really made a difference to performance. It's certainly no slower.

As far as the maps are concerned, I dot know why everyone is so shocked. Apple haven't hit the target first time for over a decade.

    :D

Tried the sat nav on it today, seems better than waze - giving good advance warning of directions and recalculating faster.
