    Ah thanks for that, the only reason I'd heard is that we had customers come in to the shop complaining that they'd lost their preorders and saying that all the stores had closed.

    I just want to bring back the £50 worth of overpriced shite I had to buy, and use it on a copy of The Witcher 2.

    They were moving stock from the Game to Gamestation and I think there is a note saying that Gamestation was still open.

    Hopefully the new company will have cheaper prices.

    To be expected really, with OpCapita setting up a new company and just acquiring the assets in the UK. Still, the international assets could still be worth quite a bit (Blueshore certainly seems to think so).

    Went in there on Saturday and the lady behind the counter suggested I buy some microsoft points for the upcoming 'proper mass effect 3 ending'.

    I went into my local game at the weekend, there was three members of staff, two managers, and me

    I didnt want to buy 300 used copies of fifa on five different formats so i left

    What's wrong with that? Unless you're being ironic and blaming them for inflicting such dross on more folk.

    Would Shopto or Amazon be cunts if they were offering, say, Child of Eden free with every Kinect, or would that be a good deal?

    Nice suprise today actually. I had Mass Effect 1 & 2 on 360 and Killzone 3 that I thought I'd trade. (Tried ages ago and was offered £3 each or something so saved them.)

    Today thought I'd trade anyway to clear some space, even if just to get a £5 PSN voucher. Suddenly it turned into £36. Either there is a Mass Effect frenzy going on or they have upped their trade offers, but anyway, made a change.

    Similar experience for me today. Wanted to trade some old Wii games (SMG, Zelda TP, Super Smash bros + big brain academy) so went to HMV first who offered me £25 for the lot which was roughly what I was expecting but
    thought I'd try my luck at Game who gave me £55!

    Giving those sorts of crazy money trade-ins, it won't be fucking long. Presumably they're desperate to build up stock levels.

    I imagine it is an Olive branch to convince gamers to consider them for trade ins again. HMV did the same thing when they entered the secondhand market. (That would also have been for stock growth though).
