    Especially in the cinema.

Give yourself £5 or ½ gig, you're worth it.

While I'm there, can I also punch Brian Cocks, that annoying physics twat off the TV that my wife quite likes ?

I quite liked Russell Harty. And Kurt Russell is pretty cool.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Will Self. And I would enjoy it. Maybe a heavy frying pan to the face for good measure.

He's a smug cunt. He's amusing in a grumpy way but he has an extremely superior attitude.

I also like Will Self, but he is certainly someone who could do with a punch.

His willingness to send himself up in Shooting Stars puts him in the 'alright' camp for me.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

He lives near me, I see him shopping in Sainsbury's often. I've spoken to him a couple of times, he's not as bad as he in on TV. Perhaps he knows people might want to punch him :)

Every coalition minister who's spoken in the media about the child benefit changes.

Will Self is amusing enough to escape a broken nose.

Will Self is indeed smug but at least he's entertaining. The following article he wrote for the BBC a few weeks back was great reading:

He's an excellent writer. The Book of Dave is really superb.

He's smug and superior but he's also ridiculously intelligent, somewhat justifying it, plus he seems to have a sense of self-awareness to go with it.

Problem is this puts him in the Loyd Grossman / A A Gill camp. And those two definitely would benefit from a punch.

If I was feeling controversial I'd put Jeremy Clarkson in there as well.

Will Self is a twat, but he knows he's a twat and he revels in it so he's kind of OK. He was shit on shooting stars though.

Problem with foodies is that they think being twats about food is something that people couldn't live without, and as a result are utterly deluded about their self-importance, and so a punch is justified. See also Giles Coren.

Clarkson is different. He's that cunt at school who got tall first, and made himself popular by being louder and more obnoxious than everyone else, and bullying the Indian kid. He's just a grade A cunt. Punching isn't good enough for him.

He courts Little Britain outrage and delights in controversy but there's far more to him than we see on the surface. He's no fool.

Martin Amis then, in the Will Self camp. And that man definitely needs a slap.

LB, you really are a massive geek.

The hell is controversial about this? He is one of the worst things about being British.

Food critics are the worst being the ultimate example of ‘those who cant create, critique’. I could happily clomp that one who looks like Peter Griffin in the face with one of those pretentious rough slate platters that seem to be all the rage these days.

And yes, he's no fool and knows how to play ti his image.

But he's also more of a cunt than his "self-aware playing up to being a cunt" thing would suggest. It's a double-bluff.

My wifes first job in TV was tech assessing Kids TV shows and, yeah, it also drove her insane.
