Nobody bothering to watch Carter vs. Jones at the moment? It's a bit of a cracker.

    It's fantastic. I can't believe that snooker.

Yeah I am. Jones is putting up a real scrap here. Fantastic shot on the last red. Got a few quid on 13-12 Carter so I hope this goes the distance.

Stevens playing very cool indeed, wonder if he can outsmart O'Sullivan?

Edit: heh, just realised I'm watching catch-up from this morning /sleepy

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

Good start for Carter. O'Sullivan hasn't started yet but seems on his way now.

I'm just hoping for a reasonably close final.

Christ, this fawning over O'Sullivan is getting annoying. Every time he pots the first red they start banging on about how he's going to hit a 147. Every lucky flick and snooker is a "fantastic shot". Wish they'd show a bit of respect to the other bloke in the final, it takes two to tango.

The crowd has also got at least 50% more moronic in the final too. "COME ON RONNIEEE!" every two fucking seconds. Yeah, it's the third frame guys, pipe down for fucks sake.

Well done Ronnie, thoroughly deserves the win. Kudos to Carter - he's been brilliant throughout. No shame losing to O'Sullivan.

Really enjoyed the tournament - first time in years that I've really followed the championship closely.

Yeah, it has been good. I can't help but feel that Higgins being out in the first round aided my viewing and the tournament as a whole. Unfortunately I haven't had the time to watch as much of it as I would like. Still saw some great play and caught a lot of O'Sullivan's matches and he has been immense, definitely the best player in the tournament.

You are a factory of sadness.

Great little send-off for Hendry before the last session too. That's the most emotion I've ever seen from him. Class act.

Think Carter was far too heavily influenced by Ebdon's advice/coaching. He played as negatively as I've ever seen in that final and he quite simply isn't that sort of player. Carter doesn't have the game to bore Ronnie into submission, he would have been much better sticking to his natural game.

I see Barry Hearn is starting to drag the Sky Sports darts-like crowds into the game, which is disappointing. Never seen a snooker match with so many fucking yobs from the first frame. The crowd is starting to become slightly more leaned towards idiots trying to get themselves heard on TV, rather than genuine passionate snooker fans. It's alright cheering on your favourite player when key moments and opportunities pop up, but it gets fucking annoying when it is happening on an almost shot-to-shot basis.

I would agree to most of this.

But you do have to wonder if Carter would have reached the final in the first place without Ebdon`s coaching? Although i think Carter should have come out fighting a bit earlier than he did. The negative tactics only helped for a very short time here and there.

Also great piece`s done on Hendry. The man deserves his moment of adoration from the snooker crowd.

Anyways, big congrats to Ronnie. Feel bad for Carter but happy O`Sullivan won it in the end.

Maybe,  but snooker has always had its boisterous elements.  Remember one year during the Bournemouth Masters when extra security had to be hired for the Perrie Mans v Eddie Charlton match?  When those two clashed it was like Jets vs Sharks.

Trump 5-2 up and cruising against some random gimp, then loses 6-5 and is out!

Still can't stand him and yes he has got rid of that awful fuckin' doo, but now has another wank cut.

I see he was moaning at the lack of punters in the arena. Snooker is on its arse, it will never get back to the 80's era*. I watched the 85 final live and shed a tear for my hero when "Den" did him.

*although Snooker Loopey (lets fuck this place up) 2012 remix with the new breed and some rappers might work.

"Duffman is thrusting in the direction of the problem! Oh, yeah!"

This is turning into an excellent final, very scrappy but entertaining, I'd like to see Selby win.

    Is anyone else watching?

    You better watch out.
    You better beware.

Enjoying the World Championship so far. It's crazy that Robertson, Macguire and Williams have all lost to qualifiers.

Poomjaeng is pretty entertaining (even if he did just give a frame away after falling foul of the 'three strikes' rule).

I can completely see why Hearn let O'Sullivan play (bums on seats), but it leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

I am still trying get over my upset at Higgins get dumped on his arse in round 1. Snooker breathes a sigh of relief each time he gets beaten.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise half of them are stupider than that

Ronnie's looking imperious here. I hope that someone can at least give him a run for his money.
