    Are you supposed to get VIP points with a DS Lite?

    I've always had points when I buy games, but I bought a DS Lite for someone recently, and it had no points card inside. Is that normal?

    I've got about 6000 points built up over quite a few years, as there's never anything worth spending them on. Once in a while, Nintendo will update the catalogue to include something good, like a DS game for 5000 points, but they sell out so quickly it's ridiculous.

    Where are the codes? I've got tons on Nintendo stuff and never registered any of it.

    They should be with the instructions on a separate slip of paper with a scratch panel. I think they're only given away with first party or high profile nintendo titles.

    Just to clarify this point swapping thing - the point being that very soon you'll be able to spend them on retro game downloads via your Wii. Quite fancy a free Mario Kart download myself.

    Ok, I've finally got round to putting all my vip points on, and my spares are as follows. Not sure who's lists are up to date, so if anyone wants to swap, let me know:

    Dr Kawashima's Brain Training 250pts
    New Super Mario Bros 250pts
    WiiPlay 250pts
    Mario Kart Double Dash 400pts (think it's not been used)
    Donkey Konga 250pts
    Mario Smash Football 250pts

    How does anybody get enough points in order to get something? You need 5,000 points for a game, but as I import nearly every DS game I buy, I've only got 2,585 and thats after what, over a year?? I guess most people just buy their games in the shops...
