:D She likes the one where he talks really fast and jumps up and down a lot ;) She's nearly 70, I was a bit surprised when she said he was her favourite act at this year's festival.

I'm sorry to hear Huey had a grump on, I really enjoy his radio show, seems very laid back & mellow.

A strange game. The only winning move is not to play.

So, repeat of the show's about to start on BBC2. It's not the greatest episode ever, but if you haven't had your fill of rizzle kicks and huey playing up a bit, there you go.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

    MICHAEL BOLTON!

... and Carol is still extremely fuckable.

This Vickers girl, isn't she some woman that some guy on here likes/stalks?

She wasn't the brightest girl; came across as a bit thick to be honest.

I'd take her two from the top to put one in her bottom.

All the eurogamers who actually play with each other on xbl rather than just post pseudointellectual pc handwringing bollocks on the forums, love the shit out of biggy.

I remember going to see FLC years ago. They came on stage about an hour late, Huey was clearly in a foul mood, and when some guy started heckling them for being so late, he asked anybody in the crowd near the guy to kick the shit out of them.

He might come across as laid back when he's in a good mood, but I suspect he's got a nasty streak.

Rhod Gilbert is the new host. He's no Amstell but at least this means no further appearances from bloated humour-vacuum James Corden.

So, this is back on then. Just caught the first episode on iPlayer and it's pretty good, had some actual belly laughs.

I do like Rhod Gilbert too so the fact he's now a permanent fixture should mean the quality stays high.

    Rhod Gilbert you say?

Urgh, I don't like him at all. It was so much better when Mark Lamarr and Simon Amstell hosted it.

I saw a wee bit last night. I think a settled host would help, the last few series have been very patchy and a bit tired. The has-beens line up is always good though.

I would happily punch that twat from the 1975 all night long though. He seemed like a massive prick.

Apart from the ones where Lamarr clearly wanted out, and the ones where Amstell had almost backed himself into a corner of increasing meanness to the guests, which had also led to increasingly shit guests because the half decent ones didn't think it would be fun any more.

Give Gilbert a go, his two main traits are Welshness and enthusiasm. A bit like a Welsh Justin Lee Collins who you don't want to punch. In fact, nothing like Justin Lee Collins. Whatever happened to Justin Lee Collins? I hope it was something vaguely unpleasant but non fatal.

I think I may give this a watch on the iplayer, although now I've hit 40 all music is shit and I hate the young.

I just watched that episode, I thought it was pretty good. Maybe not appointment viewing but I'll watch another episode if it's on or I see it on the iplayer.

I quite liked the potato waffles game.

JLC kept a Pukka Pad with all of his girlfriends sexual past, making her write down every liaison no matter how sordid.

Then Buzzcocks should be perfect for you. They only have the youngsters on so we can laugh at them these days I think. Or cos they're sexy, of course. It hasn't been edgy or cool for years now, and getting the unfunny one out of Boosh on hasn't helped at all. Still strangely watchable though (judging by previous series' - still need to catch up with this one)/

I saw Gilbert a couple of years back on the Comedy Store, and his act was of an extremely pissed-off Welshman, not at all like his TV persona. Very funny though, so I'll always have a soft spot for him.

I quite like "Rod Gilbert is puzzled but enthusiastic about various jobs" or whatever that program was called. It's not rocket surgery but he's likeable enough. I think they had one of the youth on that last episode there, he seemed to do all right despite his early 90s hair (he's a man out of time!)

I do agree that Bill Bailey was streets ahead of Noel Boosh. He doesn't ruin the show though.

Noel Boosh is there as a reminder of why comedy isn't the new rock and roll
