    1080p > 480p ;)

Looks good, gotta wonder how it feels to play though.

SSX3 is one of my favourite games so can't believe I haven't thought about this before. It seems absolutely perfect for the wii and you can almost guarantee an extremely well polished game.

Graphics look superb as well, if you can make any judgement from that video. It looked amazing on the PS2 at least.

As a snowboarder myself I much prefer the (relative) realness of 1080 compared to the more showing, tricks-led SSX series.

This looks nice though but I'd really like some details on how the controls are going to be implimented. Anyone?

EDIT: SSX 3 is good, but the follow up wasn't. Here's hoping they go back to 3 to build upon.

If it's exclusive to the Wii it could be great. I worry that it's another PS2 game with Wii-mote support.

That's true of most of the series but not SSX3. I'm also not a fan the tricks-led side to the game (same applies to tony hawk games as a skater). 3 for me was more about insane speed and height of everthing. It was fantastic just going from the top of the mountain to the bottom.

I really want a 1080 for the Wii. The N64 original was great, as was 1080: Avalanche on the Cube. Those avalanche stages were awesome.

With EA creating a development studio dedicated to the Wii; things are looking good for Nintendo's new console. I'm not a fan but EA did an excellent job with Madden on the Wii. The SSX series has been a great adrenalin rush and I would love to see a Burnout game back on a Nintendo console.

I tried to find a link on the net to watch this on Spike TV this morning; when I seen the title SSX Blur; I thought it was a piss take because of the Wii's graphical capabilities.

1080 Avalanche on the Cube was brilliant but short; hopefully this and Mario Kart on the Wii will have proper on-line gaming.

This could be good so long as they are aware that SSX4 sucked the sweat of a dead donkeys ass and don't take anything from that game to putt into Blur.

SSX is my favourite series EVAR.

If this is any good, I'll be wanting a Wii that much more.

Still, this only makes me more curious as to where the PS3 announcement is.

Yay! SSX has been a rare breed - a quality EA series. SSX1 was class, Tricky was even better, and 3 was pretty good too.

As long as the Wiimote stuff isn't tacked-on and some real thought's gone into what you can do, it should be a solid title.

The Reginator. I hope this link works as Reggie was a scream.

Edit: Just click on the Wii.

Took me bliddin' ages to find SSX On Tour (paid 20 notes for it) and it's awesome. PLUS you get Ninendo characters and they change tons of sounds/textures just for the Cube.

A Wii title is very welcome indeed. Get in there!

    It's looking pretty good!

I must say EAs approach to the Wii is impressing me greatly. Rather than just developing shovelware they seem to be taking time to craft games specifically for the console.

The only thing I think is missing is a way to gear up for he jump. Y'know, how in SSX you hold down X and then release before the jump - that's not there.

But otherwise, yeah. Hope it works in practice :)

I think that's precisely why I prefer SSX. It doesn't make any pretension about trying to mimic snowboarding, couldn't hope to either - so it's a game, and as a game - the less realistic, more tricksy and crazier - the better!

You want something like a snowboard sim, you want Amped or one of the other dull more-sim like games.

SSX3 is still one of my fav. games of all times, but somehow I'm still not really looking forward to Blur. My problem is, that (from what I've read in the last EGM and from what I've seen in the videos so far) it's basically a rehash of all the old tracks. So apart from the new controls and the more blurry graphics I fear there will be nothing new in there :-(

Colour me a fuck of a lot more excited now...

    Controls:

Nunchuck Stick - Carving left and right
    C button - Grabs
A button and then lateral movement of the Wiimote - Spins
B button and vertical movement of the Wiimote - Flip forward / backward

Combinations of different buttons and movements also "tweak" the tricks a bit.

Visuals pretty much look a touch prettier than SSX Tricky on the Cube (which is fine by me) and the thing looks baby smooth.

    Me wants. Me wants now.

This game is steadily moving up my most wanted list!

Really liking the look of the game and the controls seem to be a nice (if not stunning) fit.

If the Wii can have a steady stream of solid titles like this during the usual 'drought' period then perhaps it can sustain momentum.

Preordered already. I like the look of it that much.

It doesn't do anything spectacularly different to previous SSX games, but then again the control system has me interested. And tbh the best version of Tricky was on the cube, and the uber system looks nifty so it's definitely going to get bought.

Mind you....wouldn't you lot just absolutely LOVE a proper next gen SSX?
