    For Sale: Canon PowerShot S2 IS (Review at dpreview.com)
    * 12x optical zoom (36-432mm equiv.)
    * 5.0 million effective pixels
    * 1.8-inch tilt-and-swivel LCD monitor
    * Colour electronic viewfinder
    * Optical Image Stabilizer (3 modes)
    * Ultrasonic motor (USM)
    * Extra-long movie mode with enhanced VGA resolution and stereo sound
    * Canon DIGIC II processor with iSAPS
    * PictBridge and Canon Direct Print compatible no PC required

    Just over 1 year old, barely used and in excellent condition. Also includes a 1GB SanDisk ULTRA II High Speed memory card and Crumpler Crisp 'E' padded camera bag.

    Comes boxed with original cables and disks for 210 or nearest offer. (plus however much insured postage costs unless you want to collect it from Bristol)

    Oooh, might be interested. After a decent camera for my honeymoon (going on safari - suitable, or not enough zoom?). Dunno what would be best myself, not a photographer at all so I have no idea....not done any research either.

    I`m after a cheap compact, for when I really really dont want to get mugged for my DSLR

    if that was black, would have got me paypal out

    The 12x optical zoom is very good indeed, as is the macro mode. There are a few sample shots here :)

    Actually, can someone point me to a good beginners photography website so I can judge what will best suit my needs? The missus is a decent photographer but has no idea of the tech.

    Someone please buy this so I can buy a handy little compact instead of looking like this bloke when I'm on holiday :(

    While you're at it, buy my car as well; a very nice 2002 Golf TDi SE in metallic black for just 4450.

    If it doesn't sell for a decent price then I'm just going to take it with me. I'd rather sell it and buy a more compact one which is easier to carry though :/
