Amazon are now selling the Alias Seasons 1-4 boxset for only 35.96

The fifth and final season is out soon (Oct/Nov) and there is a Seasons 1-5 boxset but it costs 89.99.

That's not fair - I only have seasons 1 & 2 on DVD, so the 1-4 set appeals in terms of price but the 1-5 set looks really sweet. :(

Yeah, I know, I've had the 1-4 (60) and 1-5 (90) boxsets in my Amazon basket for a while and I've been umming and ahhing over them both but I can't resist the 1-4 at that new price.

Just having a look around and the R1 season 5 set is only 16 on DVD Pacific, so I might go for the 1-4 set and offload my seasons 1 & 2 to someone/where for a couple of quid.

I've been sitting on the fence with this series for ages, having only seen the odd episode here and there, but at that price for a full four seasons there's no reason not to take the plunge.

    Cheers for the heads-up. :)

Ooh, you lucky git! The first two seasons (especially the first) of Alias are absolutely superb the first time around.

Got this yesterday and watched the first few eps with the missus. Not bad, but it hasn't really grabbed me yet.

Lots of nice twists and turns already though, so I have reasonably high hopes. Some of the end of episode cliffhangers are a bit Flash Gordon (felt like there should be a guy saying "tune in next week for...") which felt a little bit cheesy, but it's all entertaining enough.

Thanks again for the heads-up. :)

Mine arrived yesterday but I sent it to my parents' house and I'm not going there until the weekend.

Interested to see what Alias is like - heard pretty good things about it. Can't be that bad for 25 - I had a 10 off voucher too! :-)

Just got into this on Netflix. Never watched a single ep before last week, halfway through season 2 now.

    Fanbloodytastic. I hate Ben Affleck.

Any Netflix library in the world for a couple of quid a month? Gimme!

You hate Ben Affleck? Is that because you're jealous of who he's married to, or do you just generally hate him?

Great show though. I quite liked that it was a spy show, but with some interesting mythology like all the Rambaldi stuff. I felt it it was pretty good throughout too, so you've got lots to look forward to :)

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

I really liked the first 2 seasons but never bothered with the others. Are they really as bad as everyone makes out?

I think 3 was my favourite. Maybe a bit of a dip after that, but not enough to stop it being enjoyable.
