    New from Level 5, but we all knew that. What we didn't have before is pictures!

    Not very good pictures, mind. But... pictures!

    the close up view of the characters face is beautiful.

    i love simple stuff like that, done well, alot more than fancy flame effects and all that jazz though...

    If anyone can pull it off then Squen I mean tri-A I mean Level 5. Very much looking forward to this, even though it means that I have to buy a PS3 eventually.

    Have you seen the trailer? One of the most impressive things I've seen for a while... some of these PS3 videos from TGS are looking fantastic (Motorstorm, F1, Ninja Gaiden).

    If early media is anything to go by, White Knight Story is going to be HUGE.

    The trailer is probably the most impressive TGS trailer, JRPG or anything else for that matter. Lovely world and lighting, rather advanced gameplay system* and elements, wonderful transitions between cutscenes, exploring game and fighting game.

    * what do they do before going into fight? Choose which skills to use and which order to add them to a chain? Someone with Japaneeshi skills who can fill us in? The chain system reminded me for some reason of Gradius' powerups.

    First DMC 4 and now THIS. This game along with FFXIII will be the principal reasons for me getting in to bed with the PS3. Damn the gameplay video over at GS looks good.

    Add Ninja Gaiden Sigma to that list and I'm there. Stonking material. Not sure about the Power Rangers stuff at the end of the video though.

    Amazing.

    I would love to see a Eurogamer feature on Level 5, they seem to be an extremely prolific outfit with a total of five games in the last 5-6 years. Which would (hopefully) indicate we won't be troubled by long delays on White Knight Story.

    In my own personal estimation the PS3 just pulled ahead by furlongs in the three horse race.

    The ones I know of is Dark Cloud 2 (or Dark Chronicles), Dragon Quest VIII and Rogue Galaxy. I know Dragon Quest tends to take a long time, so maybe they were busy with that? And still managed to get Rogue Galaxy out.

    They're doing the Jeanne D'Arc DS SRPG as well, due at the end of November.

    edit: Yes, it's on PSP, not DS. I even posted in the thread I linked remarking on the (relative) glut of PSP RPGs in Japan in November. Doh!

    This HD Trailer is *seriously* impressive

    I mean, its not normally my choice of genre but it looks incredible. I really like the menu system and the way the cut scenes link in to the gameplay.

    Those trees and that sunset / water = drool

    Those able to watch this video care to tell me if it's the same trailer shown at TGS? Loved the look of the game though it looks mighty hard :S.
