Well, I think that people coming into this thread should probably expect those, and avoid until they're up to date with the latest episode.

But ok, I'll spoiler tag it.

I am up to date with the latest episode here but the UK is a few days behind.

    Brap, brap, old chap.

New episode doesn't give me much hope. Loved the ending, though. :)

2 great episodes in a row now, I'm hoping this is building to a brilliant finale ala season 5.

Haven't seen the latest episode, but the last two before that were a bit shit. Especially the one in the school - easily the worst episode in 7 series of quality. Fucking paranormally-insightful children.

It always amazes me how an entire cast of unrealistically telepathic psychologists/social anthropologists repeatedly take 40 minutes to solve any problem at all, medical or otherwise. It makes all of the outcomes seem very arbitrary, like when the difficulty setting on a CPU chess player simply includes more or less deliberate errors. Everyone in House is completely cabable of being just fine, which makes it grate a little when they arbitrarily aren't.

And the enitre House/Cuddy storyline is total horseshit. House/Rachel is a bit more interesting.

The episode in the school was one of the most boring episodes of House I've seen. It was trying to be clever, but wasn't. A bit like that one where House was chatting to his shrink in a similar set-up. Just felt a like a filler episode tbh.

US Pace: What an amazing ending. I really thought that was it for House for a moment. Here's the song that was playing during that scene
Yeah, it was pretty amazing. So many conflicting emotions. My heart was in my throat when he climbed up there.

But like I said, it doesn't give me much hope for the finale. He's come too far to just revert to back to how he was. :(

Which one has just been aired in the US? Trying to work out how far behind the UK run is. Last one I watched was last Thurs, so I'm guessing I'm still one behind?

Most recent US one was the one where House had loads of prozzies, stayed in a hotel and the team made a guy's heart explode unless there was one on last night which I haven't checked yet.

Well, that was a bit shit.

Never thought I'd say this, but this show is going off the rails for me.

There's a three-week break now. I'll still watch when it comes back, in the hope that there will be a serious turn-around and a good finale. But the last few episodes have not left me hopeful.

The serial killer thing could be interesting, I'll give it that. Hope it's not just a one-shot thing, though.

I haven't liked recent developments much at all.

Experimental medicine? Really? It's hard to believe that House could be that monumentally stupid.

Apparently Cuddy's not going to be back next season.

Yeah it's always been a little far fetched but to the point of the ridiculous recently. In particular that thought-reading machine comes to mind where they wanted to look at someone's dreams, almost stopped watching at that point.

Could be a good thing. The show needs a major shake-up to make it fresh again. Masters brought some of that, then they got rid of her when they brought Thirteen back! Now it's back to the same old again, including the same old storylines. Taub and Foreman are also boring the hell out of me.

Cuddy going will mean a fresh face, it's what the show desperately needs right now.

There have been better episodes than this week's but it was certainly a bit different compared the usual formula - shot in a different way too from what I could tell.

Felt that the recent run improved things from a sub-par mid-season and while I'm not entirely sure about yesterday's effort it could act as good basis for the finále.

I'll be honest, I didn't need to watch that in HD. Powerful stuff though.

Some nasty television, that. It's almost as if the writers are getting restless.

I learned something about myself - senseless violence on telly and in film doesn't affect me, people getting split in half and whatnot are fine, funny even. I laughed all the way through Human Centipede. Show me a guy trying to operate on himself, though, and I find it hard to take. Funny how it goes.

I was eating a Subway at the time. Made me feel a bit odd and have a slight craving for ketchup.

Cuddy is the ultimate MILF, PHOWAR.

Shame she is leaving. A little sad that there will not be a happy ending for her and house.

I've always wondered why people want House to have a nice, happy ending. The show has never been a happy show and I don't see why they'd shift the tone of the show at the end to make people feel good.

Possibly it's because people like to feel that, even if their life is shitty now, things will eventually get better. Rather than "life sucks, and then you die".

It's fine to have that for a few seasons or so, but people want to feel that progress can be made. And have an ending that, if not "happy", is at least not unrelentingly depressing.

And the ending of this season is... WTF. He could have killed people. How on earth can there be another season after that?
