Registered 9 years agoHaven't seen the latest episode, but the last two before that were a bit shit. Especially the one in the school - easily the worst episode in 7 series of quality. Fucking paranormally-insightful children.
It always amazes me how an entire cast of unrealistically telepathic psychologists/social anthropologists repeatedly take 40 minutes to solve any problem at all, medical or otherwise. It makes all of the outcomes seem very arbitrary, like when the difficulty setting on a CPU chess player simply includes more or less deliberate errors. Everyone in House is completely cabable of being just fine, which makes it grate a little when they arbitrarily aren't.
And the enitre House/Cuddy storyline is total horseshit. House/Rachel is a bit more interesting. -

Registered 10 years agoThe episode in the school was one of the most boring episodes of House I've seen. It was trying to be clever, but wasn't. A bit like that one where House was chatting to his shrink in a similar set-up. Just felt a like a filler episode tbh. -

But like I said, it doesn't give me much hope for the finale. He's come too far to just revert to back to how he was.

Registered 8 years agoThere's a three-week break now. I'll still watch when it comes back, in the hope that there will be a serious turn-around and a good finale. But the last few episodes have not left me hopeful.
The serial killer thing could be interesting, I'll give it that. Hope it's not just a one-shot thing, though. -

Registered 6 years agoThere have been better episodes than this week's but it was certainly a bit different compared the usual formula - shot in a different way too from what I could tell.
Felt that the recent run improved things from a sub-par mid-season and while I'm not entirely sure about yesterday's effort it could act as good basis for the finále. -

I learned something about myself - senseless violence on telly and in film doesn't affect me, people getting split in half and whatnot are fine, funny even. I laughed all the way through Human Centipede. Show me a guy trying to operate on himself, though, and I find it hard to take. Funny how it goes. -

It's fine to have that for a few seasons or so, but people want to feel that progress can be made. And have an ending that, if not "happy", is at least not unrelentingly depressing.
And the ending of this season is... WTF. He could have killed people. How on earth can there be another season after that? -
