It's a Wii bit too much for me (See what I did there ;)) I think. Will wait for the first price drop, although Zelda will be hard to resist.

Was hoping for the £130 mark.

    /sigh

Importing for me then (I said if it was Over £150 and/or 2 weeks after the US launch, I'd import)

What's the best US site for importing hardware?

Did they mention how much additional Wiimotes will be? That's a fairly crucial piece of information.

Was expecting £150, but with the game bundeled I think thats a good price point. The date is great aswell.

Would like to know peripheral prices, as ill be bagging a complement of remotes for maximum multiplayer goodness.

    US - they pay $250,
    Europe - they pay $318
    Uk - We pay $337

All for the same product ffs, vat would only be about $43.75

ralph whatever his name is was being a right smug pleb about him "knowing" it would be £150/November which he got from "industry news". I'm guessing this was his source of certainty.

Cmon then, ralph. Lets se you eat the pie of shame.

That's £30 too expensive, and games should be £29.99.

Not too shabby. We are only getting ripped $27 before tax when you compare the US price. Included Wii sports makes it a nice buy.

To be honest I think its a bit much, although I'm certainly still buying one at release. It should have been 150 quid with the game, £180 is outside of most peoples impulse range I feel.

Not to mention its not exactly a massive gap between the Wii and the 360 Core pack...
  • Deleted user 15 September 2006 14:03:12
£180 with a game isn't outrageous i suppose. Still want to play with one before i buy so i'm not bothering to pre-order.

Had no luck with the live text updates here... had to head off to IGN instead :(

Unbelievably this tosser makes a living from writing. Just horrible.

Any ideas on when we'll be able to pre-order?

I need to decide between 360 or Wii, can't afford both now

Is a memcard included or do we need to buy one as well?
    +1 WiiSports = uninteresting.
I hope they do other bundles at launch.

    * Is the forum slow because afix is making a kerbillion bloody Nokia threads?

    So.. Don't buy it?

Why is it that we all expect a Nintendo console to be half the price of everything else?

For £179... It's sold to me. Expensive compared to everywhere else for sure, but still it's within my "YES PLEASE!" range (just).

It's cheaper and it comes with a proper game, seems like a major plus point for the Wii to me.

Yep, credit to Nintendo for budling a game. Having a console without a game is *very* frsutrating to parents buying for kids, makes the whole thing seem like a con.

I'm sold, but I would've expected them to have a £150 pack without a game as that seems more competative with Xbox360 for £199.

Buy a Wii, and extra 3 controllers, Zelda, Monkey Ball, Warioware, and Tonys

Built-in 512mb flash memory avoids the need for one ;o)

Absolutely perfect price point for both console and games imo, especially compared to the £50 or thereabouts for 360 stuff. Very competitive indeed. /pre-orders
