BS4 out this week on PC - anybody know if there's going to be a console version? I'd much rather hang on for that if there's one planned.

Hopefully console owners will be spared.

I don't think there is no. There's an EG article with the devs if you hunt a bit.

    /looks forward to BS4

... the first 2 were great. With 3 to get used to 3D i've got highish hopes for this.

I like 'em all, even the 3D one.

Might pick this up once it inevitably drops to about 5 quid. Though if there are QT events in it, I will keeeel Charles Wotshisface.

I read the dev interview - no mention of platforms (though plenty of mention of crates!).

    Oh.

    You've already done that one.

Apparently point 'n' click is a control option, whci is a step in the right direction.

Now they just need to go back to 2D in No.5 and everything will be ok.

    Fixed.

For those of you that actually enjoy the BS games I'd suggest checking out Secret Files: Tunguska. The demo felt very BS, which is why I disliked it, with a very slick and polished point and click interface and nice crisp graphics.

There's an EG review on the front page that's caught in amongst the Wii madness. 7/10. It's marked down though because Krudster's a n00b! :p

I agree - it feels like a good Broken Sword, though. Liked the puzzles.

I thought the ones in the demo where too simple, but maybe it picks up as it goes along. I also felt the writing was flat but that might have been a problem with the translation, which felt pretty pedestrian. I assume you played the german version?

Yes, played the German one - the writing isn't exactly stellar in German as well, though, but at least there's less bad writing than in BS. And I agree, it's a bit too easy, but I liked the general reasonable nature of the puzzles.

I guess we're pretty much agreeing - if you want that kind of game/setting, get this rather than BS.

Well, I've got more than enough to do with WoW atm, but when Tunguska drops in price it might be worth a second look.

I might even have bought it a few months ago (not the least for the girl-friend), but with CoH, Dark Messiah, Gothic 3 and NWN 2 all out in the next few weeks? No chance.

And GTR 2 in a couple of weeks as well.

    That too.

Madness. I am not even taking a closer look on other games like Paraworld or Call of Juarez which I might have bought in, say, April, or May. Their loss.
