    What a perfect strike.

The first goal is also very nice, itīs around the 4m15s mark.

I would be proud of that one, own goal or not.

Got to be asking questions about the keeper!
  • Deleted user 8 September 2011 11:18:54
Sort of the opposite of what this thread is usually about, but well worth posting.

Love the yellow card. I assume it was for being a twat.

An initiative, FIFA decided, would destroy the game in England.
  • Deleted user 8 September 2011 11:23:49
I don't quite get what the card was for.

Adding insult to injury, Sayoud was booked by the referee for taking an illegal spot-kick.

I assume you can't take a dummy kick like that.

It's a fine line. You can't stop dead and then take the kick. Ronaldo used to blur that line quite a lot with his little dummies before the penalty.

Bla bla, Juninho, bla bla, free kick bla

Why don't the teams just put a player on the line or something? He's ridiculously good at these.

Because then the opposition could crowd the keeper.

But the alternative is that he always bloody scores :)

I think the solution is to have no wall, and maybe even get behind the ball and play everyone offside/force them behind the ball.

Basically if he's just shooting straight at the keeper from there he's never going to score. It's the wall and the players in the box that make it hard for the keeper.

I don't believe in walls much anymore. The invention of them predates people being able to curl the ball. They do more harm than good now in a situation like that.

That's what we used to do in Pro Evo, it is so much harder to hit a free kick when there are no players in the box or in a wall.

The great thing about that freekick, is that it probably wouldn't even make his top 5.

Interesting idea. I guess he can just "shoot" badly and just have the ball go 2 yards and have someone else run on to it though?

Letting the ball go out for a goal kick isn't such a bad idea

Where the hell was the goalkeeper? Commentator sounded just like that classic "Maggie Thatcher, Winston Churchill, your boys took a hell of a beating!" too. Must be the Norwegian accent.

Ah I didn't realise DG had given a shoddy link ;)

Keeper was up for the corner

Brilliant. Didn't see the keeps in the other one, assumed he was up for a corner but that's much clearer!
