OK so I need cheering up after seeing Leeds lose to a last minute wonder strike from Jay Bothroyd, so here in my opinion is the best goal EVER scored.

    Tony Yeboah against Wimbledon.

At least put links in Furbs :D

I tried to skip back to the bit just before he shoots, but it kept jumping to just as he scores, with the commentator shouting 'OH LOOK AT THAT' alarmingly loudly.

I continued to do it a few more times, so as to replicate a porno overdub.

Yeboah's Liverpool goal is better. Much harder shot to take, ball was falling across him and he caught the volley perfectly. It was just better technique.

The Wimbledon goal was great, but he did just charge through like a lunatic and was lucky to even get the ball that far.

Best goal ever. Rubbish piccy quality on YouTube, doesn't do it justice really. :\

Don't worry, Liverpool fans always overrate goals by Liverpool players. :p I remember a lot of Liverpool fans seriously thought Gerrards goal against Villa in 2005 was the best goal ever.

Not the best, but better than any Danish centre-back can muster! ;)

Nah, if you're talking goalkeeper goals, this takes the piss.

Furbs - in my experience, yep pretty much. It would be like me saying Rooney's vs. Newcastle is one of the best goals ever. I wouldn't put it up there.

Hmm, dont Manc put that Best goal where he went round about 3 Spurs defenders who didnt seem in the least bit interested in tackling him up there as one of the greats?

Fact is we all do it, purely because we see the players all the time.

Funny thing is, people seem to be disagreeing that Aggers goal will come at the end of that list? Are you and morriss saying it should be higher? Never claimed it was an exhaustive list, just that would be how I'd order them. Do we really need to use a tongue in cheek smilie everytime now?

I don't even know which goal you're talking about. I was disagreeing because there are many, many goals better than that Agger goal, and you're probably only mentioning it because he scored it last week.

I refuse to believe he meant that :) (Bergy that is)

No, I mentioned it as a tongue in cheek comment. I had hoped that would be pretty obvious. Clearly not :/

I thought it might have been but it was actually a really good goal. I mean, if you'd said AJ's second vs. your lot yesterday, then yeah..

Yeah that Ginola one at the end is just unbelievable class. Got to say though I think that original Bergkamp one is my favourite, mainly because even after watching it several times, I still don't really understand how he does it - it's like it defies the laws of physics!

I couldn't find Paolo Wanchope's Derby County debut goal against Man Utd. Maybe I'm biased, but I find that hard to beat. :)
