So, GSP is out then, vamos.

Wow. It's a shame, with all of the UFC'S resources they couldn't A. Have seen him struggling and acted earlier or B. Got him the best psychiatric help there is after the Hendriks fight and his muddled press conference. I hope he doesn't come back actually- he doesn't need the money, the aggravation or the wear and tear.

Sad to see him go but Joe Rogan noted he'd been hit more times in his last three fights than all his previous fights combined, add to that a brutal training regime and he's got to stop when it's right for him.

On the up side the Hendricks Vs Lawler fight should be AWESOME!

@mcmothercruncher and pockets out at times. Ref pulled the tag off eventually. Decent card last night. Now just gotta wait till 28th. Weidman again I reckon.

    6.5/10.

He needs to work on his exit more if he ever wants to achieve Mark Hunt levels of walk-off knockout nonchalance ;)

Oh ffs, Silva fails post fight drug test, stripped of 50k bonus. Becomes a nice extra Christmas present for Hunt.
This TRT bullshit needs to be outlawed. Full stop. If your body can't make testosterone then you can't fight.

Great. Possibly the greatest HW fight of all time now comes with a 'but...'

So guys, Silva/Weidman 2 less than a week away, whats going down?

Im really hoping for Silva to produce some mesmerizing display of standup sorcery but my gut feeling is Weidman via ground & pound or submission in the 3rd/4th round.

Ill admit I was a big detractor of Anderson Silva for a while there, I was a big fan originally but the shit he pulled in the Maia fight left a negative impression that remained indelible for a while. Credit to him though, his return to jedi-like form through the following years eventually won me back around. Although the nature of the defeat in his last fight has besmirched his legend somewhat (he has a habbit of doing that), I still think Anderson Silva remains one of the few guys still active that carries any real mystique or mythical aura about them. I just hope he wins Saturday night and we get Silva/Weidman 3 next year.

The prelim fights on the Fox card last week were excellent. That Edson Barbosa chap has some brutal kicks! Definitely deserves a main card appearance in his next fight.

I'd never bet against Silva if he wants - needs - to make a point.

Funnily enough they were talking about TRT on MMA Radio and they said that it's only been used in sports outside of MMA once and it was an Olympic fella who had no testicles.

Probably not true but it was funny.

So long as Weidman keeps calm and waits for his opportunities, I think Anderson will get caught goofing again. But part of me wants to see Silva blaze a path of effortless destruction through Weidman just to prove a point.

Anderson has a non-goof mode, I expect him to be in it, Weidman is getting annihilated.

I'm not so sure about Silva ploughing through Weidman as easily as his other opponents. Weidman was already dominating Silva before he pulled his matrix nonsense out.

Anyone pumped for the Barnett fight? If he wins he may be second in line for Cain (Verdum has first dibs) whenever he comes back from injury.

A hype-inducing cinematic retelling of the first Silva/Wiedman fight.

Yeah, I really like Barnett's fights. Travis Browne is no slouch though.

I'm not a fan of either fighters. Let Mark Hunt have his title shot! The winner of Barnett vs Browne should fight JDS.

Yeah, I know im being biased. I'm pretty sure Barnett is the next in line if he wins against Browne and it could actually be quite exciting to see him fight Cain.

Always love Barnett fights, he's a human meat grinder and I love that he's plying- and making work- and different fight style than most in these homogenised MMA days.

I'm not sure if I can watch the Weidman vs AS fight. It's almost nervewrecking for me, especially if AS starts clowning around.
