I watched DKR a bit ago, it really is awesome. It's literally just the comic, and that can never be a bad thing.

I do miss the internal monologue, however.

Its worth every panel. Great comic.

You should have got hardcover TPB though, it has 2 extra pages.

Really? I'll see if I can find them online.

Read book one last night, and yeah, it's amazing. The difference in class is staggering.

I have 2 copies of both Marvels and Kingdom Come: the paperback versions that I read and lend out when people ask about good superhero books, and then the Marvels 10th Anniversary hardcover and the Absolute Kingdom Come which look beautiful but largely sit on my shelf.

As good as Alex Ross is, I do find really intricate, painted comics really hard to read. The lettering in kingdom come doesn't make it any easier.

It's worth knowing as well that Kingdom Come was inspired by Marvels in the first place.

Depending on how Marvel NOW plays out, I may end up agreeing with you...

Bah, who am I kidding? I'm a Marvel man all the way.

Question for those of you who have the original Kingdom Come 4 books: do they have Alex Ross' signature written in silver ink over his name on the all-black first page?

My wife reckons it's printed I reckon it's signed. In fact, all 4 sigs are different. She then reckons it's some kind of special edition set but insists te ink is printed and not written on the paper.

I know I'm right like, but I thought I'd triple check in here.

    Cheers in advance etc.

So Moore's League series is now upto the 80s. I'm still trying to make sense of the 60s godamnit!

I love how the 80s lineup is made up entirely of TV/film characters. :)

I'm glad AVX has finished now. Barely anything happened really.
Charles Xavier 'dies' and Scarlett Witch is back. That's basically it.

Just a bit. I've been reading Consequences and it looks like Wolverine v Cyclops is going to be the new Xavier v Magneto - not just in the difference of opinion that came from Schism, but in having an established group of mutants based out of a school vs a band of renegade mutants with a much more militaristic, aggressive outlook trying to force their agenda.
