Registered 10 years agoI'm waiting on two orders made on the 1st and the 8th of July. They're just stuck in the status you mentioned. Not sure what's going on. -

Registered 8 years agoI ordered a game on 6th July and that still hasn't turned up - the account just says 'Order acknowledged'.
I did get a phone call from Gamestation about a week and a half ago to say that they were having computer problems, which they were trying to sort out, and the woman said my game would be there by the weekend (a couple of days later). It still hasn't turned up though so I've been meaning to give them a ring. -

Registered 8 years agoI ordered from them about 6 months ago and had no problems, but I have heard rumours recently that they've not been the best at fulfilling orders in a timely fashion. Sometimes up to a month it seems, but I've never heard of anyone not finally getting their stuff. -

Registered 8 years agoTBF WOPR, it did sound like you blew the whole KOTI affair out of perspective, I think that's what Grandad was referring to.
You're entitled to your opinion of KOTI and the incident of course, and it effected you not me, but I don't think others would have been quite so venomous in the situation, that's all.
Still, back on topic, Gamestation are reportedly pretty shit at the moment, but I always had problems getting through to their customer service about a now famous incident I suffered with one of their stores.
The way I got round it was to phone at about 9:10 in the morning, just after they open. I got through then fine.
Hope that helps.

Registered 8 years agoSeriously try just after opening hours though. When I called they admitted that they were seriously understaffed and couldn't cope with the phone calls coming in, this was before everything went tits up on their site it seems so it would probably be even more difficult now to get hold of them.
Failing that if it's done by card you can always cancel the order and get a refund from them, if they don't automatically refund it after a week or so, just phone up the card company and say that they've never delivered the goods and you want your money back, I think most card companies will then claim the money back. -

It wasn't that bad and was certainly better than Gamestation is now. I did work experience there back in 95-96 and the staff were more helpful and friendly than they are now.

Registered 7 years agoGamestation's online service has really gone to the dogs. Case in point: I order two games for twenty quid, both in stock. After a week one game turns up, charged at full price. They never had the other game. Two weeks later, find something for a good price. Order it. Three days later receive a duplicate copy of the game they sent me the first time. Ring up, complain, get it swapped. Two more days, game I actually wanted arrives... without the manual. Send an email, get manual ten days later.
If that doesn't put you off ordering from them, surely their website will... It's gash. -

Registered 8 years agoGreat time to have a Gamestation banner on the site isn't it!
)
ROFL
Pay for a banner on a site to drive yet more traffic when you can't cope with the amount of people you have ordering now...or invest the money into improving your communication and customer service, as well as despatch times. I really do wonder how some companies get so far sometimes. -

Apparently the manager of the local GAME store here is part of the BNP.
Could be wrong though. -

Registered 10 years agoWell, one of my missing Gamestation orders turned up this morning, comprising of shiny new copies of Gladius (Cube) and Def Jam: Fight for New York (Xbox). No dispatch e-mail and it's still listed as 'order acknowledged' on their site, but at least they've not gone under. -

Registered 7 years agoRang our local Gamestation store yesterday to see how much they were doing Field Commander for. After a bit of fudging, the guy refused to tell me. Said he couldn't announce it before the release date...
Rang this morning. Spoke to someone else. Won't quote me a price now: a) in case I'm a competitor, and b) (in his words), "if we tell you how much it is, you might go somewhere cheaper".
No shit, Sherlock.

Registered 8 years agoHas anyone had any luck contacting Gamestation? I received an email from them telling me to phone their 0845 number and I've been trying for the past couple of days but no one will pick up (or they're all too busy). Arghhh!
I ordered a game from them on the 6th July and it still hasn't turned up despite the money being taken out ages ago and them promising I would receive the game about 3 weeks ago. -
