Zenit are on ESPN right now. Just went 2-0 down at home in added time to some team I've never heard of. Oh dear.
    Good to hear.

Is it Bentley's new club by any chance?

    No, they're not that bad.

Looks like green isn't Real Madrid's lucky colour.

What the hell's going on at Madrid at the moment? They're 8 points behind already, league might as well be over if Barca get another 3 points on them.

Mourinho after the game said he doesn't have a team, that only a few of the players had good games and that he would have subbed 7 of them at HT if he could. Looks like his usual siege mentality shit is wearing off into the third season like it did at Chelsea.

    They'll beat City though.

Mourinho are you listening, you'd better keep Ronaldo glistening, cause we'll be back in May to take him away.

    Hated, adored, never ignored.

'Real Madrid are eight points behind leaders Barcelona and the enigmatic El Pais reporter Diego Torres, well documented to have close ties with many Real Madrid players, believes the players have already thrown in the towel.

"The players are very pessimistic. They believe that the league is practically lost and that (Jose) Mourinho will not finish the season.

“The players are far more discouraged than last year. They have lost the stimulus they had before which was to win a title that had eluded them, and believe it is impossible to win the league playing under Mourinho because he is determined to play in a way that is no longer a surprise to Spanish teams.” Torres said about the lack of motivation in the group.

He added that there were divisions in the dressing room between the players from Spain and the Spanish-speaking countries and the Portguese speakers. “There is also a division between the players and Mourinho,” he said.

“Mourinho has a persecution complex with players, especially with the Spanish group,” Torres added and he revealed that the players were also annoyed with Mourinho’s accusations in Saturday’s post-match press conference, claiming there was a bust-up on the plane home from Seville.

“The players believe they will look bad if they pose a confrontation with Mourinho so they will not comment publicly. They are more cautious than ever before with this escalation of aggression by Mourinho.”

Torres concluded by suggesting Mourinho’s post-match comments were the opening words which will end in him leaving the club.'

Perhaps the players are just lazy after winning it last season. I imagine the European Cup is what the board want now as well so as long has Mourinho keeps them in that, he will be okay this season.

What happened with the Ronaldo thing recently?

No idea, all he has said is he is sad and it's not about a new contract.

So nothing new then, I was half expecting him to sign a new contract making it just the usual money grab which probably isn't the worst thing to do, he must make them a fortune.

In case anyone wanted to know, there's a Bundesliga Highlights show on ITV 4 right now. Nice little surprise for me. If it's common knowledge then I apologise.

Ugh this makes me sick i just think man city will really be up or it and with the problems at madrid I think city will edge this one unless Madrid play like madrid and not like sulky school kids.

If Madrid turn up Madrid to win 3-1 if they decide to piss it up the wall ten man city 1-0

Barcelona president Sandro Rosell has said there will be changes to the TV income distribution in Spain from the 2014/15 season onwards. He said they are definitely looking to move towards a fairer system and that Barcelona support this move.

PSG are the latest doped club to show FFP the middle finger - they've signed a sponsorship deal with a Qatari bank worth €100m - PER YEAR.

Their previous sponsorship deal was worth... €3.5m per year.

Rayo vs. Madrid has been delayed due to floodlight failure. Club officials are saying the cables had been cut by vandals. The game might not even go ahead at all. Shame, I was looking forward to this one. :(

@ecureuil Being played this evening, now.

Apparently it was Rayo Ultras protesting ticket price increases. A lot of the Spanish clubs hike their prices up nowadays whenever Real/Barca are in town.

Vukcevic in 'induced coma' after horror car crash

Hoffenheim midfielder Boris Vukcevic is in an 'induced coma' in hospital after his car collided with a truck in Germany.
I was watching him and Hoffenheim just the other day on ESPN.

It's just so predictable and boring. La Liga is pretty awful thanks to the tv rights.

I avoid watching their matches now, try and catch some of the lesser sides on Sky Sports but all Barca and Real matches are televised afaik.

Back to business as usual for Real then. Ronaldo's first hat trick of the season makes him equal with Messi for goals so far. 2 pens mind, should have taken the second with his left to complete the perfect.
