Registered 10 years agoSo Furbs, what are our chances at signing Kromkamp? You reckon he will be used in a part swap with Feyenoord for Kuyt or could he be sold/loaned to us?
In other transfer news, we signed Mexico central left defender Carlos Salcido for five years. Excellent signing for about 1 million pounds.
With Farfan staying despite the lure of all the Portsmouth money, Alex extending his loan from Chelsea for another year and Cocu finishing his career with us this season I must say I'm pretty positive about the squad so far. We've actually improved for a change.

As an Inter fan I must disagree.
They can rightfully claim the League title for 05-06, as well as the Cup that they actually won.

Registered 8 years ago- btw., its a Barca side without many of the big guns.. - Giovani Dos Santos just took on 3 defenders, dribbled past them and hammered the ball into the goal.. nice! =) -

Registered 9 years agoVieira's officially gone to Inter now (despite Deschamps claiming that no more Juve players will be sold), and Milan are also sill chasing Buffon and Ibrahimovic. Juve have slapped an extortionate £28m price tag on Ibra though, to ward off any interest. Milan do have the Shevchenko cash however, and have apparently said that they are 'lining up a spectacular transfer to reward the fans', though I'm sure many people would agree that their money would be much better spent elsewhere.
The Italian season has also officialy been delayed until 10 September, as the scandal still hasn't been fully resolved (the teams have now taken the case to the Court of Arbitration).

Registered 8 years agoReal hosted Villareal last night and the game ended in a 0 - 0 draw..
Unsurprisingly, the "new" Real Madrid certainly looked a lot stronger in defense and midfield but they also looked a lot less lively and had almost zero imagination once they moved into Villareal's half of the pitch.. Real only had one or two really nice flowing moves all game.
Villareal played a great game and came close a few times also but it was mostly a midfield battle with both teams making sure to defend well..
To me its a step back for Real Madrid, but Villareal defend really well and maybe other teams will crack under pressure once the new team mates settle in. Cannavaro and Casillas already look a great pair, Diarra was a rock in midfield and only the forward line of Cassano/Nistelrooy/Raul didn't really gel.. -

They had no imagination last year and look more solid defensively so that's what you call a step forward

Registered 11 years agoBarcelona's squad this year is pretty incredible. Rijkaard is a great coach if he can keep all his attacking stars happy. -
I was looking at the team for AC Milan there on their site, and we (well, only because I quite like them and bought their new home top at the San Siro) need someone to replace Shevchenko. Gilardino and Inzaghi are good and will score plenty of goals, but there's still something missing.
Thankfully, it isn't a metric ton of Ronaldo. -

Registered 8 years agoI'm watching Real Madrid v Real Sociadad at the moment.. damn, its horrible to see how Madrid get away with lots and lots of fouls and Sociadad getting fuck all.. Whiney primadonnas the lot of them.. - there were even a few nice replays of Cannavaro sliding his studs down the backside of a Sociadad forwards thigh when they both jump for the ball..
Another example: Carlos (one of my all time favourite players) does one of his trademark reckless sliding tackles and stops a forward, that stays on his feet and gives chase on Guti who blatanly dives and appeals for a booking, and bloody hell the ref gives it... - disgusting.. =/

Registered 8 years agoReyes 1-0, Beckham 2-0 - Game over.. Real look very predictable in their play, and they only got the last when Sociadad came forward in the last few minutes.. (their keeper were alone with 3 Madrid players!) -
Real Betis v Real Madrid - madrid is leading 0-1.. around 68 mins played Beckham has just come on and follwoing a nice move he decides to take a dive rather than play his chance.. wanker!
