Yeah, that was a fantastic episode to go out on - the 8-bit segment was my favourite. It was nice to have the anthology style back, as there hasn't been one of those since Season 2. Here's my full review.

Didnt like the first two bits, , just stretched out jokes in my opinion. The manga one was good, needed more Amy hentai though.

It was on Sky till about ep 12 was S6 then nothing fuckem gonna have to download the rest.

Also the seasons are so messed up some sites call the new one (iTunes label them this way also) S7 with S6 been the movies. Where as some others like Wiki do it different and compress the original eps down in to 4 seasons instead of 5 as the 5th was never shown on FOX originally.

The second half of season six was much better, after the crap xmas special.
Seems the break did them good, as I actually laughed numerous times during the second part of the season.

You can't retcon something with no continuity.

Futurama has always thrown continuity out of the window as and when it suited.

I hate to go all comic book guy, but here's just one of countless example's from very early on:

Season 1, Ep. 2: When bender comes into contact with magnets, he becomes a crazed folk singer.

Season 3, Ep. 6: Bender impersonates Flexo by wearing a magnetic false beard.

*snort snort snort* I watch at least 3 episodes a night *snort snort* ;)

(Obviously it does have some continuity... I was making a comic book guy sweeping statement)

That's really a bad example. They (jokingly) explained it away by saying his chin is the only place he can attach a magnet without it making him crazy. They use it for the beard, and I think for a bowtie at some point.

It's always been a show with amazing continuity. In the first 5 minutes of the first episode they had nibbler's shadow, and they also had people in France speaking english, they would later establish that French was a dead language. The attention to detail is amazing.

I do wonder if they're considering the new episodes as a bit of a reboot.

I'm 7 episodes into series 7 now, favourite ep so far is the one where Leela's parents split up. Quite liking it overall so far, thought series 6 was inconsistent and unfunny but the writing seems to have improved in this series.

Comedy Central has decided not to renew the show.

    Bugger.

    This space left intentionally blank.

Strange, had it really been doing that badly? I must admit I'm not too disappointed since the new episodes have mostly not been particularly good.

I kind of get the feeling this is the final blow for the show, and I think Cohen has known this was coming for a while. He did an interview not so long ago saying it was unlikely Futurama would continue forever.

I'd like Netflix to pick this up. Its a good show. Better than the Simpsons has been of recent times.

Think its been better than Simpsons these days.
New series certainly needs more Zapf Brannigan.

    Shame, that.

First 13 episodes they did since coming back were hit and miss, but I thought the episodes that came after them were pretty great.

@DUFFMAN5 I watch it with my daughter too - but it has raised some interesting and frankly adult discussions on occasion :)
