All the things I've read (torrent comments and IMDb), everybody seems to think it's brilliant. Anyway, if it downloads fast, I'll watch it later. -

Registered 8 years agoDidn't everyone hate the first movie, though? Doesn't really bode well.
They might work better as individual episodes, though. The Family Guy movie was much better as episodes, than as a movie. -

Registered 9 years agoThe family guy movie was just 3 episodes with one story though. I think it would be harder to break up the first futurama movie into episodes.
I loved the first one for the record. I'm going to watch it now while waiting for the new one to download. -

Registered 9 years agoThe first movie was a bit of a mess. As long as there's no more time travelling - something they said they wouldn't do in Futurama - I'll be happy. Though 'Roswell that ends well' was great. -

Registered 6 years agoBeast with a Billion Backs is getting a lot more love and praise than Benders Big Score did. Not seen it myself yet, but I know this second film is more of a traditional Futurama story, in that there isn't any complex time traveling plots and so on, just a beast from another dimension (voiced by David Cross) turning our world upside down. -

They are being made with a view to splitting them into episodes, once the last movie is out, Comedy Central (IIRC) are going to add them to the regular show rotation as series 5.

Well I thought it was better than Bender's Big Score. There are more jokes for a start, some really quite good ones, like Bender drinking "Serial Port".
No songs this time though. I thought the Christmas song in Big Score was really good.
It seems also like they were cramming more jokes into the first half an hour and then it was slightly tailing off towards the end, but overall I'd say it was funnier and more interesting than BBS. Still, with it being an hour and a half long, the format makes it impossible to keep firing those jokes at you at the same pace and a 25 minute ep, so that's probably why it doesn't work in this format.
They should have really just made a new series of single unrelated episodes, rather than 4 films.
Still, Futurama is Futurama, and it's still good... -
