I need to take the wrapping off my Trilogy and bask in the awesomeness of it.
I think it's my all time favourite game.
Lucky bastard, I bet it looks awesome on the Wii U scaler

I was thinking of trying to get back into this, would love a 3DS port, stick the head phones on and immerse in the 3D

One of my favourite games metroid prime. I might just have to try it on dolphin seeing as though my gamecube does not work anymore :(

The gamecube is my favorite console of all time starting from the SNES. Still start up some of the games at my parents once in a while.

Graphics still hold up really well on the Wii(played it without the composite cable)

Metroid Prime works really well on Dolphin but don't try and increase the screen size or view point (or what ever it is) as the game won't render the polygons to left and right of the visor and it looks really odd.

I tell you what, trying to get used to the control mechanism again after all this time is weird.

    Menu screen music is awesome.

I could certainly see someone thinking that at least. It has a good combination of interior and exterior sections, both of which look pretty good, and is really pleasingly designed. It was some nice verticality to it too, and some of the most interesting standard enemy encounters in the game.

Not that I share that opinion, but it's a perfectly reasonable opinion to have :)

I'd kick the living daylights out of the producers of Tipping Point - Ghandi

@Alastair I can't remember what caused me more problems; Ridley or Omega Pirate. Both barstard hard bosses that probably took a few years off my life due to stress/fury. Don't think I've ever been as happy to down a boss as I was with those two.

There's no way I'd have the patience these days.

Metroid Prime Trilogy on Wii U would be an insta-purchase. Twin stick happiness. *dreams*

Twin sticks? Why? Is not an FPS and the controls are perfect.

It's a lovely chilled gaming moment. There are better levels, but that's a really special level intro.

Not being able to play Metroid prime or even other m on Wii u sucks.

It'd be nice if you could control with the gamepad.

You can play both of those games on Wii U, if you want.

As you say though, Gamepad play and control would be excellent. I wouldn't complain if they did an HD update, though I can't see that happening.

I finished all these (and enjoyed them), but none of them wowed me as much as the original Prime.

A lot of people struggles with a few of the Prime bosses but I found the "non boss" parts tougher in Echoes.

I remember getting lost a lot in the drifts, and was really tempted to skip to the second game, but I've stuck with prime. It's been that long, I don't know whether I got past the drifts or not. I'm pretty sure I did though. Is the lava level after the drifts?
