What settings are you using for it? Does it work perfectly?

I've completed this game three times (twice on GC and once on the Wii version) and it gets better each time. Especially because you get notice little things that you didn't each time you play again. The game is just that good. And the boss battles, my word...just epic!

Easily one of my favourite games I've ever played.

Ah right the Dolphin wiki say Prime suffers from micro stuttering. Won't bother then.

Preaching to the choir. I replayed it recently on GC - it's beautiful, inventive, exciting... Best game I've played for years in years.

It stutters every now and then. I don't have a beast PC, but 95% of the time it works fine. Suffers only on close atmos. effects - visor splash etc, and even then it's playable. Audio isn't so great, sadly.

    Still, extremely enjoyable.

Finished it 6 months ago on the Wii, for me it's one of the best games of the last generation.

The wii version is better when it comes to combat, platforming and fighting off multiple targets can be annoying because the instant targeting system seems to be worse than the GC version.

A new Metroid prime might convince me to buy a WiiU, that is if it's not as ''shit'' as Metroid other M

Having spent a large chunk of this afternoon on Prime after reading this thread, I just ordered this Metroid t-shirt from qwertee.com. It's only available for 24 hours though.

Shame you didn't tell us about that yesterday, when it was two quid cheaper.

Cubby didn't know how to turn off sigs!

Yeah, sorry about that, hadn't checked the site lately as the designs have been a bit hit and miss. Still worth the money though I think.

I have decided. Metroid Prime is the greatest game I've ever played. Even better than Ocarina.

    It is just outstanding.

Yes it is. First time to enter Phenandra Drifts will never be topped.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realise half of them are stupider than that

Best game on the GC (which is a huge accolade).

    Loved the morph-ball sections.

Talk about coincidence. I was just on eBay pricing up a GC to replay this on.

I haven't played it for ten years and I'm still in awe at just how amazing an experience it was.

I just knew it was going to be amazing from the moment I first loaded it up on my GC and heard the menu music.

I only managed to get about three hours into it on the GC. I loved what I played, but just couldn't seem to get to grips with the controls. I ended up buying a Wii a few years back just for MP Trilogy. Fantastic game.

FFXIV: ARR - Khroma Midgard, Odin.

@SuperCoolEskimo I've been humming the music all evening :D I need to play it again! Is dolphin easy to use on Mac?

    @Gambit1977 :)

No idea about Dolphin/Mac but I'd only play it on a GC. The pad and controls were one aspect that made that game so amazing.

Very true, but they aren't as cheap as I'd have expected. I'd rather have a GC than a wii.

Happy, happy memories of playing this. Even happier than the ones from playing Super Metroid.

It's very playable on Dolphin with a 360 pad. Superb game, still.

Can you use a normal 360 pad if it's plugged into USB or does it have to be the PC specific one?

Normal wired 360 pad will work fine.

I regard that as not only one of the best games of all time, but also as being the game with the two most memorable tracks of any game. ^_^

There is nowhere better in gaming than Phendrana drifts.
I need to take the wrapping off my Trilogy and bask in the awesomeness of it.
I think it's my all time favourite game.
