I was staring at the screen so much when first playing it, they were actually hurting and remarkably blood-shot, I kid you not.

The problem with the game is that it was a bit too big for me and I got too lost. Put a lot of time into it. Went to gamefaqs after a while and completed it that way. Still thoroughtly enjoyable though. I say complete, couldn't kill of Core of MP, 'ard as nails.

Never has a game used such a sublime control system ever. More revolutionary than anything the Wii remote will bring us. Not that it's started any trends, but it bucked quite a few, and there is no other way I'd rather play it.

And that includes with a remote. Retro, if you're reading: GC controller option, or die.
Come one Prof, I mean I have a stonking hard-on for MP too - it is a mindblowingly brilliant game .. but you're coming unglued a little if you feel it brought anything truly revolutionary to the table in terms of controls. Brilliantly exectuted yes, flawlessly designed yes .. revolutionary? No.

    And BF, you're a big jessie. ;)

/Fails to mention he didn't bother completing final boss

    Bloody cynic. :p
Ok, maybe not a revolution, but definitely an evolution. A big one at hat.

    No arguments there.

Just trying to bring Profzilla down to street level a bit. :)

A revolution in itself, surely? :-)

Maybe a bit throwaway in my use of the word 'revolutionary', I'll admit. But the controls (let alone the game) have their own learning curve. It's not as simple as learning them then playing the game - the controls themselves have subtleties. I can blitz through most areas in Prime now thanks to the flexibility of the controls.

This is the last thing I needed. A friend of mine has my Gamecube, and while I'm having a good time rocking out on Guitar hero, Scratchy has filled me with a burning desire to give Space Pirates what-for. Damn you Scratchy, damn you to hell...

Gah every time I hear this one part of me says yes but another wants to scream my head off. I loved and hated the game. The love as described and the hate for the save mechanic, a fatally flawed masterpiece imho.
I really really hope they ditch the save station for the next one on Wii. Otherwise I think I might give it a miss, pity.

This girl is talented. And she always locates quality grass wherever she goes. If the sweet lovin' weren't enough, her mad doob-finding skillz would clinch the deal.

I probably should marry this girl, but somehow I think we work better as sex-buddies. Anyway, you're a married man aren't you Barton? Missing the single life? ;)

The atmosphere and music (especially) in the Phendrana Drifts really reminded me of the early Tomb Raider games - the sense of wonder gained from exploration... just thought I'd share that.
