3 POINT 2 FUCKING BILLION and we made 4 to cover them all.

Ads seem to love trying to cotton on to 'you are unique' sentiments. Often whilst trying to display as many people doing normal things as possible.

1 each if their wording is to be taken at face value.

    Fab4 knows ...

Those magazine adverts are back again. This time it's building a Routemaster Bus model. It's complete in 130 issues with the first costing £1.99, the second costing £4.99 and the other 128 issues at £8.99 each.

Total comes to the princely sum of £1,157.70. BARGAIN!
Also, if one issue is released every 2 weeks, it will take 260 weeks which is 5 YEARS!

Nearly every fucking toy advert (we have cartoon channels on a lot) these days are advertising loot box style tat.

Loads of collectible items that are randomomised in a packet/egg/box with the odd rare and legendary items thrown in. It's all bollocks, kids these days are just going to accept the model as normal.

Giant fucking con I hate it

My local newsagent has started demanding that people pay up front due to the number of people who drop out after a while.

Those things have been going for ever. I am amazed they're still around tbh, one would have thought the business model was well known as scummy.

I worked in WHSmith as a teen and there were people who actually subscribed to those money sinks. I never understood it as they're patently a massive scam. However the folks who came to collect their copies where the kind of people who shall we say smelt a bit and were lacking in company.

Most of the adverts on Sky Sports are awful, but the Paddy Power one with the fan in the wheelchair singing a little ditty to the tune of Spandau Ballet's Gold is infuriating. It is on EVERY FUCKING BREAK. Of which there is one every 5 minutes because football.

    Nnnrghhhh

The right move ad is downright creepy even though it turns out they actually moved out.

The iPad one with the "What's a computer?" line. Comes on almost every ad break on all4 and it makes me both irritated and sad. It's not that kids fault I want to dropkick her every time she says it but I do.

Also, while we’re in a maths based vein...

The Cadbury’s Creme Egg find the white chocolate egg competition, I knew the odds for this would be something silly and was going to work them out, but Private Eye beat me to it.

The odds of finding a white egg are over 897,000 to 1
For comparison: The odds of matching five balls on the National Lottery is 144,000 to 1

Noticed in Tesco yesterday how many unwrapped and uneaten Creme Eggs there were on the shelf, by children (hope) in search of some elusive white egg.

Pathetic by both the kids doing it and Cadbury who must have known you'd get people doing the above.

Yeah, there was a story about people unwrapping eggs and not buying them in the metro about a week ago. Fucking dickheads these days, can't even be bothered to hide that they've unwrapped them like we used to when we were young dickheads.

Anyway, tonight I are mostly ranting about mattress adverts. You hardly ever see a proper bed shop advert any more - it's just these mattress in a box adverts. And they all feature someone positively launching themselves onto it only to fall asleep immediately. THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS! You clamber slowly onto the thing while trying not to wake your partner, only to spend half an hour tossing and turning before you get off to sleep. I don't expect adverts to show all of that, but still they shouldn't advise you to crash onto it for a good nights sleep - nobody can do that unless they're 12 years old.

@mal and that 12 year old will then discover how poorly built things are these days when something breaks on the bed they've lept onto.

/I'm looking at you eldest daughter...

They actually do that as a comedy act, quite successfully as well. What the fuck is wrong with this world.

    'Amazon call child's mum.

Hi is your child allowed to ice cream for breakfast?'

'What?? Why the fuck are you calling me about this? What the fuck do you think? Do you feed your child ice cream for breakfast? You are babysitting my child so I can have a break and relax and you have ruined it.'

I normally get annoyed by the latest fad rip-off exercise products from the US that plague various Sky channels in the early morning, but I've got all the time in the world for the Squat Magic ad.
