A hotel in Barcelona. Yeah something like this but for two people. With separate beds? Sorry. More stylish. This one’s perfect. No way. Arrgghhhh. Stop showing that fucking advert.

Registered 7 years agoOh wow - have you seen the 'user' versions of that pony advert?
I just had 2 om them in the same ad break watching Shawn of the Dead on ITV2! The Run DMC and final countdown ones.
Heres a mash up trailer of all of them!
I prefer the elegance and simplicity of the original, as this has gone too far!

Registered 8 years ago@MadCaddy13 the apple is almost certainly the director trying to find a way to make his wooden acting seem a little less awful -

Wouldn't take much to better that campaign then would it.
They have got a little bit irritating, but they are still the best insurance comparison campaign there has ever been.

I came here to say the same thing. I fucking HATE these adverts, it's such shitty cheap marketing that makes the people within look like fucking idiots.
I hate the sky go adverts. They just seem like complete tits in the adverts, that they have managed to discover they can watch sky on the go -

Registered 8 years ago@Syrette I think the original ads were very very clever. Especially given one of the key aspects behind the campaign was to get people using a new search term to save on the money they were paying google.
They have been going downhill of course, but at least they try to be likeable and amusing. -

Registered 3 years agoThat new Three campaign with the dancing pony (RANDOM!!!) is fucking abysmal. Hate it. Has made me hate a company I had no feelings on.
You can just see the ad agency lot coming up with it. "INTERNET THINGS, SOCIAL NETWORKS, WACKY RANDOM HUMOUR!".

If people find certain adverts annoying, they find them annoying - Doesn't matter how interesting the ad is really.
Do you work in marketing by any chance?

Registered 8 years ago@Syrette of course! I get people can find them annoying, but there are so many far far worse ads out there! I guess it must be the others are so bad that noone remembers them. -

Registered 8 years ago@ecureuil I think the agency involved are too smart to simply try and do a meme for no reason.
The whole point is the three brand is designed for the Internet, so it makes sense to have an Internet themed ad. -

Nah I agree here. That advert is the exact type of shit people watch on youtube, so it's bang on really.

Registered 8 years agoIt's been on loads, they have a few versions of it now. One with that Darude song playing and it's nightclub like, and another one with a rock song and the pony rolling around with a guitar. Saw a variation of it on every set of adverts when I was watching Comedy Central earlier, they're obviously pushing it pretty hard.

Registered 6 years ago@RobTheBuilder Did you know that in 2004 Carlsberg bought Holsten Pils and six months later shut down the brand?
That'd be irrelevent, except for the strapline of Holsten adverts:-

Registered 6 years agoSo yesterday I saw a Bertolli advert where old women get their dog to tear a towel away from a youth, exposing him while they take a picture.
Since when did sexual assault become acceptable humour in adverts? -

of course reverse that so it's an old man getting a towel off a woman....it'll be banned in 5 minutes.

Same goes for the diet coke adverts, reverse the content and they'd get pulled very quickly. -
