Yeah, that advert is terrible. I called it as a Cadburys advert, similar sort of idea with it in no way connected to the product its selling.

You are a factory of sadness.

As adverts go, it's not that bad....I think it's more an attempt to create a "viral" than an advert really.

It's try just a bit too hard to make it in any way likeable though.

You are a factory of sadness.

It would be better if he danced more, he just starts moonwalking and doesn't stop which looks daft after a while

eh, at least it's better than every single ad featuring CGI babies doing something that regular babies don't do

It would be better if he danced into an abattoir - backwards. That would be funny.

This is true. I fucking hate that advert where they start playing instruments and make it into the melody from Come on Eileen, it's a fucking insult to a fantastically crafted piece of music by a very good band. So that can fuck off!

You are a factory of sadness.

I find it amusing that people are disliking the Pony ad. This from the same company that usually just bombards the screen with a loud offer.

At least they are trying to do something popular by making something vaguely interesting to watch rather than just treating people as idiots.

It clearly is an advert, but it's just more subtle in what it says. Just like the Gorilla.

I quite like the pony ad. He's so cute and look at his wittle face. It's quite funny when he almost moonwalks off that cliff then snorts.

I also quite like the children recreating Come on Eileen. But I think that's just because that opening riff is so awesome.

The first time I saw it, I thought "that's funny man... nothing to do with three though" Also called it as a Cadbury's ad...
Second time, I was like "meh"

It just gets worse the more it's shown, and it seems to on every freaking ad slot at the mo. I swear i've caught it around 20 times now since last Friday.
Annoys me even if i'm forwarding through...

Speaking of which, why is it whenever I forward through ads and I pass the head & shoulders one, all I see is this from the 3 frames that are shown.

    Fucking disturbing man

It's like releasing an annoying pop song and then releasing a second annoying pop song about the first one, as if the second one somehow makes up for it. It doesn't. They're all shit.
Can't believe they've even got Stephen Hawking promoting this shite now.

They're pretty clever though. They've managed to acknowledge everything that made them successful (or unsuccessful) in the first place, whilst sort of apologising yet not at all, and getting you talking about them, again.

I have still never, ever visited any of those comparison sites, even when looking for new things :)

I hate the sky go adverts. They just seem like complete tits in the adverts, that they have managed to discover they can watch sky on the go

@Lukus It's not that clever. It's just the tactic of bombard people with a message. Must cost them a fortune in media space and no one likes them for it.

If they made something likeable it would do much better in the long term.

For the first year or so Compare the Meerkat ads were something like 3 times as effective as Go Compare per spent by the company.

I'm not sure I'll ever feel the need to watch TV/movies on the go, but then I'm not sure about lots of things.

I pray that the Meerkats are nearing negative impact. They must be. Please?

@RedSparrows Again I think it's strange that people would hate the Meerkat so much. They have got a little bit irritating, but they are still the best insurance comparison campaign there has ever been. (The rest are all awful awful shite).

You'll know when they do because they'll disappear!

Pfft, only cos there wasn't a Gio Compario range of plush toys.

Tango did something similar with the fat orange painted guy in the 90s after the whole happy slapping thing IIRC.

Adverts were harder to avoid back then though.
