timo spotted this amidst all the E3 hype, and I think it deserves a thread of its own:

    link

It's the new one by the guys that made Another Code.

Great style, great music, interesting sounding story. I like the idea of holding the DS like a book, too. Can't wait for this.

I hate adventure games, but it does look brilliant. Not only good art style, but very smart use of the two screens.

It does look very good indeed - kinda like a more interactive, in-depth and noir Phoenix Wright :-)

    :-D

Nice find. This reminds me that I'll have to get a copy of Another Code. and a DS.lite

If you can read this you really need to fiddle with your forum settings.

Another Code and Pheonix Wright are two of my favourite DS games. This has officially entered my most-wanted-DS-list at number 2*

*fyi New Super Mario Bros. is at number 1

Looks like something to keep an eye on.

Difficult to tell if it's going to be good or not based on 10 screenshots, but definately conveys a feeling akin to watching a good 'investigation thriller' film.

Does anyone know when this is out in the US, December sometime? Will probably be another game for me to import from MovieTyme!

Wow, that looks fantastic, and I'd not heard much about it til now. From the same guys that did Another Code you say? I enjoyed that, even if it needed to be much longer.
I'll almost certainly be picking this up at some point, after going through FF3 and Children of Mana (if Movietyme actually ever want to ship either of those).

International Boxart looks just like Another Code though, which was horrible aswell.
  • Deleted user 28 December 2006 21:00:41
If only the horrible boxart was thew biggest problem with Another Code... By looking at the trailer, I get the impression they haven't learned much from their previous project.

Not going to be good, then? :(
  • Deleted user 28 December 2006 21:17:33
Well I happened to play Another Code a few days ago, and... I got the impression it was from some developers still in development (sorry) and as such, it was a rather nice little game. But I see they still force the 3d stuff, they use style as a shortcut... I don't know. We'll see, I'll be glad if I'm wrong!

Actually I rather enjoyed Another Code at the start but the whole "let's find daddy" story / art generally and some ridiculous puzzles didn't do much for me :(

Edit: I suddenly felt the need to emphasize I enjoyed Another Code.

I've heard Another Code has a poor script. Never played it, but hey.

The makers should take a page from Phoenix Wright. Good story and characterisation can do wonders in masking average gameplay.

That Japanese boxart, as with many Japanese DS boxarts, is completely ruined by the massive bar on the bottom advertising what kind of game it is. "Mystery for DS." Yeah, thanks. Could have read that off the back.

The US one just looks like someone knocked it up in Photoshop in five minutes, though.
