Come now ... where is your yule-tide spirit ? Christmas is the one time of the year when everyone tries to be nice to one another.
Ho, Ho ,Ho - Merry Christmas ! -
Our tree blew up last year, taking just about every light in the house with it. I have to replace it. I won't be buying a fibre-optic one again, needless to say.

Registered 11 years agoOr the less hassle way. Buy your christmas presents at the end of November and avoid the crowds. I would much rather pay a little extra than have to go shopping with the christmas and January sale shoppers. -

Registered 11 years agoI've not really had too much of a problem with Xmas shopping this year - I've bought most things online. Yes, that does mean most of my relatives are getting CDs, DVDs or games for Christmas, but it is the thought that counts after all.
The only person I haven't bought for yet if the Missus - and I've got to venture out of the house and into town tomorrow for that. *shudder* :/ -

Registered 11 years agoRule #642. Always ensure your other half provides a list of things to buy so you can get it all at once.
Rule #643. Keep receipts. She's not been a size 8 for about 10 years, things will go back. Let her do this. Be out of town when this occurs otherwise you'll say something stupid like ' I love you more now there's more of you to love' and end up having to watch the midnight Adult Channel previews. Alone. -

Registered 11 years agoAlso Xmas is commerical bullshit. I'm fine with that. I hand out lists of wanted games. Xmas may well be for kids, but it's also an excuse for retailers to f..k over the parents.
I don't do Valentine's Day. You probably guessed that. -

Same here, had a bit of a bad evening last night tho and pigged out on Marmite crisps, couple of bottles of wine and 20 bensons. Bit of a problem as I have supposedly stopped drinking and smoking also.

Registered 11 years agoResistance training is better though. Build some muscle, and you'll see the pounds of fat errode (provided you follow a healthy diet). -

Registered 11 years agoActually any cardio vasicular training is the best way to loose weight - especially in tandem with a HRM. I used to be exceptionally fit but f**ked up my knees and my back muscles by cycling too much.

Depends if you actually want to lose weight though. You could gain weight, in muscle, and be healthy. As we all know, muscle weighs a lot more than fat. Every pounds of muscle also burns off 3 times as many calories as every pound of fat does, as well. So, a heavily muscled person will burn 3 times as many calories than a huge fat person - just sitting on a sofa doing nothing. -
I hit the heady height of 10 stone 12.
So....
No more chocolate, no more morning Latte, no more smokes, no more coke, no more fish and chips, no more burgers, no more crisps, no more fatty things. All I can think about is the food I can't eat. Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh.
I'm depressed!
I'm eating rabbit food, exercising every night and doing Karate moves and stretches. A week later, all dejected, I weigh the F<>KING SAME. Can't believe it. -
