Finally found a pair of these bad boys while I was on holiday. And for less than 40 squids too!

My all time favourite trainer is the adidas SL72.I wore my black and gold pair till little bits of plastic were poking out the side. Or possibly these little beauties from royal elastics. Worn (by me) on four continents and stylish yet comfortable on every single one!

I had a big clear-out recently and I reckon I'm down to about a dozen pairs of trainers.

Is there not anywhere you could get them mail order?
Probably. Had a helluva time finding a pair in the UK, but now that I know the exact size, I might have another go on teh interweb. My current ones have dark blue stripes on them, but I was thinking about trying the ones with red striping next. Decisions, decisions...

    My latest foot purchase...

    Seriously! They float!

And, at Size 13, they feel like moon boots!

Oh, and cheers for giving me suggestions for the next few pairs guys! :oD

I go through trainers like no-one's business but they're all for tennis. I used to be well into trainers but not so much nowadays.

Most of my tennis trainers are usually Adidas, Nike or K-Swiss.

Anyone got a white/gold pair of Adidas Forest Hills from the 80's?

They have them in pretty much every colourway going in most Office stores.

I recently bought a pair of Duffs Gambler trainers in white and red, see www.duffs.co.uk for a pic. They're very comfortable and don't make you look like you've got corrective shoes like most oversized skating trainers. (I don't skate, I just liked them)

Apart from that I have a pair of old Nike Air Max, possibly the most comfortable trainers ever.

I like simple trainers with a simple design, I really can't stand some of the luminous, vomit inducing colours that seem popular today.

I've got 2 pairs of Duffs. Navy Blue/White Stripes and White/Black Stripes.

Not in size 11 they don't.

    Trust me on this.

    +1

...and it's trainers. Sneakers is an Americanism and it makes you sound/look/feel stupid. :)

    The past?

I got them about three years ago.

/Fights to the death to defend black trainers (but only oldschool Adidas and Puma ones - black airmaxes and stuff can get stuffed)

Oh, but my favourite ever pair of trainers was a pair of Nike basketball boots which had a kind of latex skin over then, done up with a zip and a big white swoosh. Most comfortable shoes I've ever owned and my choice clubbing footwear for a good year or so.

If anyone knows what they were called I'll award them fifty bonus points.

I wear these to run in, and walk around being generally cool. I wanted them the first time they came out in 1995, but I got these a few months back.

Just rare and highly desirable....in order to get a pair you either put in for a raffle or bid on them iirc

The coolest trainers for me are the old Etnies Sal Barbiers. On my second pair now and they are great.
