I have been watching "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret" (David Cross (Tobias) vehicle set in UK, Will Arnett also in it, lots of swearing) on 4OD on my XBOX. It's painfully funny. Perhaps too painful.
I watched every episode on 4od last night after reading this post. Brilliant. David cross' character seems very 'tobias'. And whilst obviously not as well written as arrested it was still funny. Although the slapstick, at which David cross is brilliant, was side splittingly  hilarious. Anyone know if there's another series planned?

Anyone who wants to see more David Cross should watch Mr. Show.

Why on Earth can't I find a youtube clip of "I've made a huge mistake" when I need one?

Tried enjoying The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret, but it just wasnt funny. But I'm not a fan of cringe comedy so probably not for me, his character - works significantly better in Arrested as it only plays a small part, it is too much in this. Tried but ended up just starting AD again :-)

Excellent news. After 5 years of anticipation, people are gonna crucify it if the new episodes are anything less than stellar, although my hopes are (hopefully justifiably) high

I've only just started watching this thanks to Netflix but, by golly, it's good innit.

I'm hoping the quality keeps up. Only watched 3 episodes so far and I actually laughed out loud a couple of times and I rarely do that. Fantastic stuff.

Oh it does keep up, definitely... some people have issue with the 'British' episodes in Season 3 but even those have absolutely golden moments.

It's pretty much flawless to me.

First two seasons are rock solid. Season three has a few wobbles but is still pretty good.

The best thing about AD though is the richness that comes through in repeat viewings. It really does genuinely get better every time you watch it.

I need to watch this again, it's been too long. Community wishes it was as funny/clever as this show.

This. Bene casually rewatching via Netflix and I'm amazed how much is there that I never noticed before.

Does it? Totally different shows IMO.

I can see the links between AD and Community. I wouldn’t say that Community tries to be AD, but it’s certainly influenced by it. There’s more than a touch of Tobias in the Dean for instance.

Also I think AD was the first sitcom to really do the whole meta thing to that degree (although I suppose you could argue The Lucy Show did it first).

You can certainly see the influence of AD in lots of the current popular sitcoms like Community and 30 Rock, maybe 'totally different' was a bit strong.

Trolling Community in an AD thread seemed a bit unnecessary though.

It'll be on Netflix? Curses! Have to wangle a sub to that.

AD is my favourite TV show of all time, even though I laugh more at Blackadder et al. Go figure.

The guy that plays Buster is even in an episode. Pretty much every comedy that isn't a standard sitcom is influenced to some extent by AD nowadays, though.

Speaking of Community, I finished the first season last night. Loved it. The paintball episode near the end of the season was utterly fantastic.

Finally got round to watching this show, up to the end of season 2. It's a good show but I can see why it was cancelled, . Season 1 is solid, but season 2 doesn't seem to go anywhere. I'm actually quite dreading season 3, I suspect it'll be worse. Despite my negativity I do enjoy the show, it's just frustrating to see the gradual dip in quality.

I was expecting more progression, but for me the show got stuck in a rut for season 2. They start out with the great premise about the family losing everything and beginning to adjust to their new lives, season 1 was great for that. But season 2 didn't really go anywhere for me, in some respects it's like the character unlearned some of the lessons from the first.

But more importantly, I found the first season more funny.
