Well, not literally. I was browsing through some pre-owned 360 games, were they charge £44.99 for a pre-owned copy, which is ridiculous, and I noticed one of them had an ASDA sticker left on it which read £39.97. "Bugger this" I thought, and popped down to ASDA, and sure enough brand new copies of every 360 game for £39.97. Picked up NFS:MW and Quake 4, for a full £20.04p cheaper than they cost in Game.

    Nice going, Game staff...

maths aside, are you telling us that Game are selling used 360 games for more than they cost new?

(oh wait, that would still require some basic maths)

They sell some pre-owned games at £44.99, which is a joke.

That's not a bad deal, you know. Saw some in GAME at £44.99. And they were second hand!

Maybe my maths is letting me down here, but isn't £44.99 more than £39.99?

I don't know about you guys, but I would expect a games shop to sell a pre-owned game for less than it cost when new.

go to hmv, say your a student, 10% off 39.99 games

Value can be quite amusing though. Many a time have I bought an old, still sealed game that has a price tag on it far below what I just paid for it. Most memorable was spending nearly £50 on an incredibly limited edition boxed version of the original Dune PC game, which had a price tag of £5.99 on it.

Yes. Yes, that's what you'd expect. But you'd be wrong when it comes to second hand 360 games in Game.

Apparently, they're cheaper in Asda but those reports are unverified.

Where did you get them at that price for? I'm trying to get PGR3 on the cheep but can't get it below £39.99. Also don't you have to show your NUS card at HMV in order to get the student discount or just saying you're a student work?

Wouldn't surprise me. Their second hand stuff can be £45! Anyone know where you could pick up new copies for the same price, or perhaps £5 cheaper?
