Bit of a typo in MCV this week....unless you're selling up of course!

"Action Replay will become a Gamestop towards the end of this year's expansion."

So have you expanded down South yet, or are you still keeping your plans secret?

THAT is funny as fuck, a real genuine LOL. My missus just gave me a weird "what the fuck are you laughing at?" look

She's watching Bones - please don't make me laugh again, she'll knife me; it's her favourite program.

Fair play. I guess a train to London of a weekend wouldn't be out of the question.

So we're not going to see one in Swindon, Reading, Bracknell and Maidenhead either then?

I'm afraid its not in the plans.

    G force and Grainger ftw!

G-Force (the one in town in Glasgow) is awful, IMO. I asked if they had SE edition Colossus, and they gave me a look as if I had horns on my head. Then when I said I'd leave it (this was yesterday when it wasn't officially out) the guy said in an awkward tone "You won't get it anywhere else, you know".

The one in Clydebank however, rocks.

Yes, we need a good indie here. Chipshop 2000 is bloody awful.

    Oxford?

There aren't any decent indies here. Only one (ePlay) although I'm not sure if that is an indie or a small chain or what. Only ever seen one of them though, and it is shit.

How big is it? I've walked past the Oxford one loads, but only been in twice, both times I didn't feel particularly welcome. Sort of had that slightly intimidating air to it. Their prices were shit too so I probably won't be going back.

I have no idea where the hell you'd find room in a decent location in Oxford though.

I thought the Oxford ePlay was quite good. It was well stocked (for the size of the shop), and the staff seemed quite pleasant and smart. I only get to go there once every few months, so I could have been lucky each time though. The one in Bristol is pure crap in a bag, and the one in Gloucester (ex-Software Store) could do with a bit of a shakeup... The Cheltenham store is quite good as well.

I expect there'll be plenty of space on the university campus sitting around not doing much good...

    ;-)

The Birmingham ePlay has decent staff but the prices are deeply average. They gave me good trade-in on some old Farscape DVDs, however.

Is that the one on Cowley Road near Tesco? Cos if it is, thoroughly agreed, it's shite. Been a while since I lived in Oxford.

Cardiff could do with a good indie too btw.

Nah, ePlay is the one on George Street, before you get to the New Theatre. Forgot there was one on Cowley Road, but it is shite too.
