If it's like Katamari Damacy, then what they mean is first pull both thumbsticks towards you in a kind of momentary flicking motion, and then immediately forwards.

Imagine you're barging a door down and before you go forward you rock back on your heels for increased momentum. It's like that. But with thumbs. And a sticky ball instead of a door. And a cow is stuck to it.

Thought you were supposed to go forwards with one, back with the other, then swap repeatedly?

You push both sticks rapidly back and forth. The first tutorial level should show you how to do it.

Anyone bothered to do the million roses level? How long does it take?

Might have to get this tomorrow. :(

I just hate buying games in such a short space of time.

Aargh, I really want this game... But can I afford it along with Psychonauts and Shadow of the Colossus? No way.
    :-(

My anticipation for SOTC has gone right down recently. I'd rather leave it and get Katamari.

I loved the demo on the recent OPS2, I'm only expecting more of the same brilliance from the full game.

This'll seem like a silly question but i havn't seen anything to answer me. Does this have the original soundtrack or has it been replaced with generic crap?

I'll cut my arm off and eat it if the soundtrack isn't the same as in the American version. I think I actually prefer it to the Katamari Damacy soundtrack, and you can pick which song you want to hear before starting each stage using the right analog stick. So you won't be stuck listening to the same song over and over if you repeat a stage many times, unless you want to, of course.

You don't get to pick any song right away though. You have to unlock them by beating the levels.

Edit: I can confirm - Soundtrack is in.

Went into GAME this morning to get this (I have some trade ins and vouchers to help the financial burden) and was told due to "warehouse difficulties" they won't have a copy untill Tuesday ?!?!?!??!

WTF?!?!?!?!? No wonder these type of games don't sell. It'll get lost next week, as next Friday has a bumper set of games coming out....

Thanks for the info Kincaide. I was going to go to Game at lunchtime. But if they can't run an effective business then they won't be getting my money.
    I'll buy it elsewhere.

/ anticipates shouting "Get the cow, get the cow !" at the TV tonight.

And that's just when I'm watching "Texas Chainsaw Massacre" on channel 4.

If you do get it today please post your thoughts on the game, as I would be interested in your take on it (bearing in mind I won't be playing it until Tuesday it seems ....)

@kincaide - damn right its sh!t !! I usually buy all my games from play but I sold a shed load of stuff over xmas at gamestation and got credit notes back. Might as well make good use out of it. For some reason my brain keeps tellin me that I have not paid any real money for it, so in essence its free !!! ;) good brain.........

They're really gouging Europeans on this game. It only cost US $30, and Katamari Damacy only cost US $20.

I just ordered it, but 'll get it on wensday. Arrhhh. It was a risky decision. I know what's katamari about, I've seen videos, but I don't know if I'll like it. I could buy 2-3 other games for that price. Well, we'll see.

    Eesh!

If a few people's reactions on here are anything to go by..

    1) We didn't deserve Katamari after all

    2) Namco should just forget the UK market. It's dead inside and out.

Sheesh, who'd have thunk it. This and SOTC getting a "meh" from some people.

Not at all. The problem is with that "everyone" bit. Most often I don't like what "everyone" does, like that crappy GTA:SA ;P.

But I mostly like quirky games, so, we'll see.

I'm tempted by this game purely, and for no other reason, than the ongoing 'Love In' about it on EG.

I import no games and haven't played any of the 'truly japanese' games that get talked about a lot on here.

    I don't own a Nintendo either.

Games that I have bought due to EG enthusiasm include Ico, BG & E, RE4, MGS 3 and others, so maybe you will all be right this time too!

But what is the game actually about exactly, othervthan rolling massive blu-tack balls about? I have no actual idea.

Completey depressing, even more so when most of those same people will probably be moaning about the stagnating software schedule later in the year.
