The clan is fully operational now, please take a look at the website if you are interested in joining.

    Original Post:

I'm thinking about starting an XBox 360 clan. I've half designed a website for it already, (offline), and wondered if anyone would be interested in perhaps joining or helping me find members.

    EDIT: All of the following.

Just a few pieces of information about the clan:

We'd be originally playing Perfect Dark Zero and Project Gotham Racing 3.

We'll most likely start off as a fun clan, and see where it develops.

I haven't thought about ranks, but I'm sure there'll be some sort of ranking system which'll depend more on clan loyalty than skill.

No minimum player skill, except I do ask that your Rep is at least 3 stars, (unless I like you).

There probably won't be too many matches to start off. There'll be no minimum hours a week. I may appoint sub-team leaders depending on the size of the clan.

There'll be a forum as well as a (pre-designed) website. Some members may receive moderator abilities for the forum.

A usual code of conduct too, no swearing, discrimination, etc. will result in clan ban.

    And a list of possibles:

    HMAN, deathgibbon, HarryB, Ginger_Messiah.

I think it's a good idea, I just think the name compy might not work, as nobody could top my ideas.

    GamerPoints?

Don't really want to associate the clan with my name. But I'll plop the names in the name hat.

Cool, it's only 8:15 and I have some interest. I'm just messing about witht he website. It's not great but it's one of the best I've done, (well in my opinion anyway. I tend to be subconsciously biased to the look of my websites). If I get enough interest though and once a clan name has been established, I'll definitely invest into a .co.uk.

But we'll get to that when the time comes. The website'll remain offline until then.

I'd probably be interested, was thinking of trying to hook up a clan myslef, but then dismissed the idea as a) I wold never get round to doing it and b) a 23 year old guy wandering round saying "d'ya wanna be in my clan (my clan, my clan)" just gave me nightmares about spending the rest of my life in vietnam (or wherever the hell he is, you know who i'm talking about)

Anyways the point of all that drivel is, count me in.

Also why don't you stick the site up on a free host until there is sufficicent interest to warrant purchasing a .co.uk?

Oh and I'm shite at names so don't look at me for one, unless things like "all my friends are binary" work for you!

EDIT: New picture uploaded on page 2 of thread.

The title of course is in progress. Might even get someone to design a logo; I'm well poor at 'em.

I'm thinking the menu needs something, but not sure what. Anyway tell me your opinions.

    ..Sumat else...
I'd rather go all out onto a .co.uk. That way I could get phpBB set up and have a forum.

EDIT2: Just before anyone asks. The ring of light doesn't swirl. Cool if it did though. I made it a static background so the text scrolls over it.

The section that the content is in is an iframe. A scroll bar appears there if the information is too large for the block. I made it green for fun!

    The site looks pretty decent.

    Name suggestion:

    Gotham's Heroes.
Circle of light (god that's crap)
    Headshot hunters

    ...

and the list gets worse. If you want i'l keep updating this post with possible names as people add them. Can put their tag after them so we know who submitted what. I guess by saying this i am putting myself forward for some admin/mod type work. Althoguh word of warning I work mon - fri so it would be late afternoon/evening and weekends. Although obviously (seeing as I am posting just now) i do spend a bit of my work time on the net and checking forums.

I've recently just left a job, so I've got all the time in the world. Well at least until I get a new one.

Did you check the first of the clan names that I'd put in the menu?

Call me a simpleton (in fact do, I'm into that kind of thing), but how about EG as a clan name?

Uh huh....however if you now tell me that was aimed at me i'm leaving! Even before I can have officially joined! ;)

So go on then what does the acronym stand for?

As i said the offer is there for some help if you want it, like many others on here I am a computer geek and employed the same so I suppose should know what I'm doing.

Thought about that, but then thought "What would the mods say?"

An EG clan would be a good idea. Wasn't what I had in mind, but still a good idea. I just wonder how long before my site gets jacked?

I think some of the Battlefield lot play under [EG] and got the site's permission iirc, so it could be an extension of that maybe.

I never actually thought about what it stood for. I just thought replacing the first letter of SWAT could be amusing.

    Call it whatever you want.

Obviously those links would be replaced with real clan names. Not just made up ones plucked outta my arse.

Definately not. It ruined the value of many a house in the 1980s.

Good luck with the clan mate. Me and speed run one, and it isn't easy by any means.
