So because they paid so much for the license to use the Bowie song, are they going to play it constantly through the episode as they have done so far?

So just to be clear on this, he's in a coma and this is all a dream/hallucination/psychotic event?
If he is "really" back in the 70s and it's the same killer, and he solves it in the same time line as he came from, he can save the life of the partner who died at the begining. Or stop her from dying.
Or get really bad facial hair.
Or summat.

Daisy, validity check?
If you've seen Juvenile Delinquents then you'll know what 70's policing was like. Mind you, you should remember - you were 30 by then, weren't you? -

Registered 11 years agoGood show, the Total Recall like scene in the canteen was very well done as a standout surprise.
Looks like the BBC have taken a chance from an established stable and got another winner.
Only downer was it reminded me how fucking horrible the seventies were! The look on Sam's face as he saw his new "old" digs was probably matched on my own. This space left intentionally blank.

I was a bit slow but oddly still over qualified for the police.

Registered 11 years agoAs long as it maintains the good start that's excellent news.
For those with good eyes, you'll notice the girl with the clown on the test card wasn't the proper one, apparently the reason for that will become obvious in future episodes...This space left intentionally blank.

Nice to see the a nice bit of police brutality, maybe if the police cracked a few chav skulls once in a while, the UK would be a better place! -

Registered 10 years agoI thought that was absolutely fantastic. After the disappointment that was 'Invasion' last night, it's good to see the BBC showing something well shot, well written, well acted... Can't wait to see the rest of the series!
There is so much potential for story telling that I think this can go a long way. It all depends what the reality of his situation turns out to be, but seeing as it's from such a strong writing/production team I think this could run for a while, especially seeing as UK series don't tend to have more than 6 eps a series (Compared to US 26 eps per series), so I can see them getting a second possibly third season in with this one.
Great soundtrack to the whole episode I thought.

Registered 9 years agoYep, a really good show.
Anyone-else notice how "game-like" it was ? Much like a high quality adventure game from the future - wooo, spooky.

Registered 9 years agoAnd you just know that he will catch up with Annie in the future as a 60 year old, right ? If he makes it back to the present, that is.
And the song lyrics to Bowies Life on Mars ? - something about the lawman beating up the wrong guy - a clue maybe to the real killer ?The views expressed above do not necessarily represent every Badger, everywhere. Or even THIS Badger, always.
