What about a new new alternate universe where old spock goes back and uses advanced technology to become king of the earth and dance around with half naked girls singing bilbo baggins songs. It will be just like the old days.

Roberto Orci to direct Star Trek 3

Might as well kiss the whole franchise goodbye now, it'll bomb like Hiroshima and Trek will be shelved indefinitely thanks to this worthless cock being at the helm.

Fun fact - He rage quit twitter immediately after my pointing out that the only reason he was writing the movies was entirely down to nepotism.

Yeah, not the best news is it? Although it's two new folk writing it, so who knows, the story might be better than SET PIECE SET PIECE SET PIECE UNDRESSING CHICK SET PIECE SET PIECE COPIED ENDING.

Everyone knows Jack Thompson - but how did he become the game-blaming activist he is today? Read Part One of my new mini-series!

Much as I have a soft spot for the reboot, the notion of another three movies in the same vein as the second wasn't filling me with fevered anticipation regardless of who was at the helm.

All eyes now turn to the new Star Wars or *gasp* something decent and original to fill the void.

    edit: SW ain't no reboot!

Never really get the rage for these films - when you compare the utter crap that came before it film wise.

I guess with the disappointing box office last time they just can't be arsed spending the money when the majority of people aren't really interested in Star Trek anymore.

    Nepotism? How so?

As one of the guys behind Alias, Fringe and the enjoyable new ST films I think it's worth giving him a chance.

He did, along with Simon Pegg, tell the fans to fuck off. He can expect some abuse from that point on.

He is a bit of a cock with his weird 9/11 conspiracy shit, but Trek fans are a pretty touchy bunch.

I can't wait to get this movie out of the way. All of the actors will go on to other things after the trilogy is done, hopefully opening the way for something better.

I can't remember the exact article but both of them had a mardy because some of the more vocal fans complained that STID was just a rehash of TWOK. Which it is. I think it was voted "worst movie in the franchise", which is obviously not true, but you don't need to rise to the bait.

    This is from Bob Orci.

You lose credibility big time when you donít honestly engage with the FUCKING WRITER OF THE MOVIE ASKING YOU AN HONEST QUESTION. You prove the cliche of shitty fans. And rude in the process. So, as Simon Pegg would say: FUCK OFF!Ē

They really need to improve the last 3 movies have been shit, everything seems be done because "it looks cool and its a dumb action movie and we don't care past this scene" and "it's a light comic relief scene, just ignore it and move on" they need to stop pandering to the summer blockbuster crowd.

They either do that or it doesnt get made.

Although, tbh, I think there is probably mileage in made for TV movies at this point.

To be fair he has took a giant dump on the franchise alot of people care about and stands in front of it like a gormless twat hoping people are impressed, he shouldn't be surprised when people tell him to take a running jump
