Selling a sanyo Home cinema widescreen digital projector... Can project an image from 30" to 200" across. This is a dedicated home cinema projector and is in wide-screen, it does have zoom options and 4X3 image as well. It has the folloing imputs: PC RGB S-video It can be used as a large tv by conecting to your SKY box or DVD or even PC/Xbox. Its a great quailty image. The only reason for sale is that I have just moved into a house too small for this really and I am making do with a plasma screen (not as good though) there is a review of the unit here www.thebigpicturedvd.com/bigequipment18.shtml

Its a great projector and I will be sad to sell it. Its been used for about 1000 hours and the lamp will do 3000 hours. new lamps are only 200.

I Paid 1400 for this last year.....Selling for 500 in perfect contition.
    cheers

    Steve aka Cd

Never mind, I read the review.

Bit expensive, no? They've just released the Z4.

I may be interested in this.

Need to check how much cash I've got.

Does it work well on a wall or do you need a screen too?

Hmm ... I've been planning to get one for over a year. Just waiting until something reasonably decent comes along reasonably cheap.

This looks pretty good except for the lumen. A bit on the low side.
    Alas.

    /waits some more

They work well on pretty flat walls as long as the paint is an OK colour and matt.

MH, I forgot about the paint - I've made a note.

I made it to the garage tho and then stood there and said 'why the fuck did I come out here?' and then ambled back to the house a bit confused.

Bear in mind the cost of a replacement bulb when considering this. 3000 hours is abolute best case scenario and in economy mode also I believe.

    /is confused?!?!?!

I guess if it's going to need a replacement bulb in the next year that makes it fairly expensive.

Also I don't have that good blinds in my living room so I'm nor sure it would be bright enough.

A wise man once told me to head over to http://www.projectorpoint.co.uk/ and browse through their advice section.

Even an idiot can understand it. I'm living proof.

3000 hours is what the people i got it from said. Bulbs cost 200 inc vat.
Think how many films or TV programs 2000 hours is? I would guess at about 847 hours a year using it as a TV and movie machin and console viewer(I know because thats what I used it for and thats how many hours are on the internal timer.).
Its always ran on econ mode as there is no need for any more brightness.

Its a movie projector, not for powerpoint slides in a well lit meeting room. also the contrast is 2000:1 to gain good definition and a true black.
If you spend your year waiting you should look into what style of projector you need, this one took me over a year to decide upon.

For the place I used to live in Germany, we needed something with a bit more lumen, as it was areally bright place.
But that costs, so I've been holding off.

Until I find a permanent new home in the UK, I won't know what exectly I need really. Depends on teh size, brightness of the living room and all.

I'll just save up a bit more for now.

1000 hrs a year seems to be what I'm heading for with my projector - using it as main TV and for films and consoles.
