Just for balance, Dogme did re-gift Call of Juarez about two months ago, so while it may have been more one-way traffic recently, it's not as though he's never given something back. Unlike some in the past.|
We've had a few over the recent months. What get's me most is when people claim loads of games at once. There is absolutely no way you can play them all in a short space of time, so instead of hording them for yourself, and not giving other users even a few minutes to spot the post and claim the items, why not let them stay up for at least a few hours before swooping if no one else wants them.
In the spirit of the thread, anything 'given' should be given back at some point anyway (if it can be re-gifted) once finished with, and not traded in. So in theory you should always have another shot of claiming it.
And if I'm being honest, those that seem to request one game every now and then seem to do just that, they give them back quite quickly. Those that stockpile requests...not seen again for months on end when suddenly they come back requesting another 20 games and giving away some PS1 or XBOX 360 discs that are scratched to fuck back in exchange. Not really in the spirit of the thread.
SUGGESTION (which is what I've done in the past): If you're about to give something away, why not check back the last 4-5 pages to see what else that user has already claimed. If they've already had some stuff, why be afraid to ask that you wait a few days for someone else to claim and if no one does, they can then have it. That seems like the fairest solution.
