morriss, the Maradona thing was tied to your idea about natural talent versus someone who worked at it.

I seem to remember when Coulthard joined another team, he had to raise a certain amount of sponsorship to get the drive. Must be honest though, I'm not a huge F1 fan. Certainly happens alot in lower classes, go-karting especially I believe.
Fair enough, but this must have been a one-off occurance, as nobody else in F1 has done this, as even in other sports this hardly ever happens, if at all.
You didnt hear about all the players from the Far East bought up by Premier clubs to boost their standing abroad then, evne thought they will rarely play? Or remember one of the main reasons Real Madrid bought Beckham initially?

Registered 10 years agoBecause. They. Like. The. Music.
Same as why Robson and Jerome made a mint doing cover versions. Alot of 30+ types dont care for new music, they want stuff they know. Its why they all do cover versions, and is why the moment they try their own material they usually sink without trace. -

Registered 7 years agoGod, the judges know nothing.
I know it's scripted to Hell and there's loads of behind the scenes stuff behind the decisions, but couldn't they somehow make the judges look even a little bit intelligent? -

Registered 7 years agoI preferred that Supernova thingie that was on Sky One a few months. That American show with Pamela Andersons ex-husband.
The winner was a bit shite though. Still better than Steve Brookstein though. -
Best person in any of these shows I have seen was Rapping Granny on american Idol.
I was bored in a hotel that is why I watched -

Pretty crappy singer but tells her sad story and cries and gets through.

The TV is still on after the Rugby and the recap of the show has just come on...and every single one sounds absolutely dreadful! I don't say this in an arty 'I'm too good for pop music' way as I like some pop music, but these were absolutely dreadful and totally out of tune...all of them. -

Registered 9 years agoI liked the first series (I thought Will Young was very good and I've even liked some of the stuff he has released). The second series was dull and I stopped watching as soon as fatty one it, not because she was the better contestant but because the public decided to put one over Simon and have a heffalump in the charts.
I've watched a few shows in between, well not the whole show but ten minutes here or there when channel hopping, and I've never ever heard so many talentless wankers on the stage. Awful. Just bury this show and be done with it. -
Asking her how she's been doing? I have a question. WHO THE FUCK ARE YOU?
Anyway. MOTD on now.
