Absolutely. By not watering himself down there will be tons of credible pop and urban artists wanting to work with him.

He is an entertaining busker, little more. Everyone seems to be getting a boner over him because he is more exciting than the usual XFactor pish. But his talent is worthy of stopping me on the street for five minutes to watch (before sneaking off slyly to avoid sparring change), you'd have to be a bit soft to actually want his album.

He has already watered himself down. Thats why hes currently singing in front of several thousand people rather than an old man and a dog down the White Hart

@mowgli If he combines that talent with good producers and management he will make a very good album.

@Ka-blamo exactly. They want to (usually legitimately) criticise the show, and use the contestants to do it without actually seeing them in detail.

Either that or or they aren't good judges of talent.

@captbirdseye Jahmene is always going to given the 'good singer' blandness that Leona Lewis had because of his voice. But James doing his own material with good producers will be far better than what he is doing here.

This show shouldn't be about final products, it's about potential.

    And he won!

I doubt he'd be allowed to be his own artist though? I just think he'll end up like a carbon copy of Ed Sheran

I think it's hard to argue against that being the most credible winner the show has ever produced.

@captbirdseye I think Gary's words to him were with that in mind. I think Cowell has realised that each act has to be tailored to what they are rather than force fed onto a specific route... But he clearly knows who he is and should keep that.

Judging by the viewer ratings this year, I wouldn't hold your breath.

Nah it'll be back. They've got another year left on the itv contract for one thing, and they can always organise a Nicole & Tulisa sword swallowing show if things get really bad.

You have Mario on your profile pictures and so probably have the One Direction album at home. For the avoidance of doubt you don't count as people.

Would you mind if I put this in my calander for next December when he launches his debut album next December like all the other winners? Ta.

You're certainly clued up on X Factor so I'm going to assume you are an eleven year old girl and cease talking to you over the internet.

If anyone else is reading this I would like to see my lawyer.

Heh, I'm not defending the winner, I'm hoping to have you punch yourself in the balls on a technicality.

@mowgli actually I like metal, rock, hip hop, dubstep. Oh and pressing someone has no taste because they like mario is so comical.

Given how many copies COD shifts, the odds are that buyers of that game are in fact those that match the bland taste of pop teens.
