The atmosphere at Villa Park is incredible, wish it could be like that every home game.

So much for Vlar being the solution to all their problems.

God, we've been so shit second half. It's all well having people in the box but there's no width and there's fuck all shape. Plus Bent is crap. Done nothing since coming on.

    Hmm.

Its probably a blessing in disguise. Imagine if you had a European campaign to play on top of all those championship games next season.

Really blaming Bent? Team had no shape at all

    Amazing.

Bradford's entire squad is said to have cost the club 7,500 to assemble - which would probably pay a Darren Bent or a Shay Given for a day or two wouldn't it?
Not going to say anything about Villa (their opponents managed to beat Wigan and a full strength Arsenal too), this is all about Bradford. What an achievement.

Imagine if they win the final, they'll be in Europe.

    Let's get Adkins in.

I don't understand what happens to our shape when we concede a goal. Happens in most matches this season.

Don't think Bradford are going to have to worry about administration any time soon.

Reminds me of Zambia winning the ACON last year.

This is why I love football.

Villa's half season ticket advert is rightly getting a good thrashing tonight :)

I think this is the point that I lost faith in our manager. 4 centre forwards and no width? Utterly crazy, I fear for us now, think we're a shoe-in to go down.

Ha, reminds me of half time in the 1987 semi final vs Spurs, when the announcer read out details of how Spurs fans could get Final tickets.

Am I right in thinking that if Chelsea beat Swansea, Bradford are effectively in Europe?

@kalel unfortunately not, they changed the rules so that they have to win to go through - regardless of who they play.

Good luck to them, although I think they'll struggle to play someone as bad as us again.

That's a shame. Bet they're glad they did change it.

Er... It was confirmed last night that Bradford will go in to the Europa League if they meet Chelsea, provided Chelsea gain a Champions League spot.

Confirmed in the commentary? If so, they may well not know what they were talking about.
  • Deleted user 23 January 2013 09:14:25
Hmm. Ok, so if it's Chelsea-Bradford and Chelsea win, it would go to 6th in the EPL instead?

    Seems harsh.

Dont worry Villa fans, despite how awful you are at the moment, i'm fully expecting you to pick up maximum points against us next tuesday - despite the fact that our starting 11 will very soon be the French starting 11.

As far as tonights game goes, i've actually been invited to go with work, so really looking forward to it. The Liberty will be absolutely bouncing and it should be a cracking game : Chelsea going on the full offensive from the start and the Swans hitting them on the counter-attack?

    Could be a cup classic.....

It could be. Its Rafas first big test really. I think if Swansea sit back we will create plenty of chances and have a better chance of winning. If they play good possesion football and limit our chances then we will struggle. I'm never sure what to expect though we have been very inconsistent recently.

The best chance swansea have got is that torres is guaranteed a start.

It would be absolutely ridiculous if Rafa starts Torres tonight - Since Ba has arrived, i believe he has scored something like 4 goals in 6 appearances?

I cant even remember the last time Torres scored....genuinely.
