yup very similar, just not as good. Un fortunately for him. :-P

I'm quite impressed that our second string  was able to keep pace with United's second string so well. I expect Coloccini and Tiote coming back played a big part in that, and United hiring a back four from the pub down the road.

How the fuck was that 1st Mulumbu tackle not a red, let alone a yellow. Dreadful tackle.

I was at the united game last night and it sounds crazy but It was the second ever match I've actually been to and as a southerner the first united game I had been to. (Im a massive fan) and it was a brilliant experience. Stretford end was buzzing and our general play was brilliant. Rooney, clevs and yep Anderson all playing big roles.

Parking at the ground is impossible though and compared to London it's like going back 10 years. Other then that it really felt like home being at the theatre. Just thought I'd share that lil experience.

It was like going back ten years to when you could actually park within ten miles of a London football club?

Balances the fact you always get the easiest draws in the CL group stages. :D

LOL, I remember a few NCFC fans getting a bit happy over getting a "promising lad" in The Goose.

We already balance that out by playing shit in the group stage.

I'd be willing to bet that domestic cup draw stat is similar for every PL side. It makes mathematical sense if you think about it. After the first round there are an increasingly high amount of PL sides left in the competition in all likelihood, so to have roughly 3/5 of your cup draws against PL sides seems about right.

To illustrate in the second round draw for the League Cup 50% are all PL ties, and that percentage will increase in the next draw.

Makes sense but I bet Chelsea have abnormal stats for that.

Anyway the young lads getting a game against a PL side is great experience so if anything it's probably an advantage.

I assumed he meant in general. Whether that's fashion, popular culture or even what beers the pubs sell.

Was gonna do an acca for tonight's games but Jesus where would you start? I could see all 3 x results in all games tonight. Think the odds on Arsenal to win tonight at Reading are decent though, as high as 1.92 in some places. I know Arsenal will make changes but surely Reading wil too and I know what reserve team I would pick.

@Orange I was one of them, haven't seen any of the game yet so I won't be affected by "He's only as good as his last game syndrome" he's a good player who's come on massively and is more than an adequate back up for Sagna.

It'll be 5-4 to the Arsenal obviously, they just let them have a three goal lead at half-time for a laugh.

There's nothing wrong with Jenkinson. He's not had a great evening but the whole defence is shit, and he's having to try really hard up front as we're playing really narrow (both Theo and Arshavin are tucking in). Which means he's out of position a lot.

He's a really solid RB who's still young and obviously isn't the real deal yet.

Can't be as positive about some of the other detritus out there though.
