Anderson was excellent tonight too, though he was blowing out of his arse for the last 15 minutes.
Which is an improvement - he's usually finished after about an hour.

A goal and 2/3 assists for Arshavin tonight. Really hope he gets some chances in Cazorla's position this season, he's much better there than out wide.

Balls, we've got Swindon away. Not looking forward to that.

Someone on redcafe says we've drawn another Premier League side 32 of the last 51 domestic cup draws.

Not that surprising, given most of those ties will be in the later stages of cups.

Good draw. Everyone left in will feel they can win it now.

Another shocking Newcastle performance; against eleven Man United players that wouldn't make the bench for a Premier League game. Dan Gosling is fucking shit.

Bloody hell, some screaming goals in the QPR v Reading game. Funny cheeky one to win it as well.

Doubt anyone will bite when you make it that obvious to be honest.

I can't believe you didn't ask for us to pay you money when you took Gosling for free - suckers.

Pacheco and Suso look good prospects for Liverpool, and Yesil looked good when I saw him play for Germany's U17's a few times.

Unfortunately Pacheco is 21 (or 22) now, I think he's missed his chance. If he wants to stay at the club he really needs to grab the opportunity between now and when we sign some more players in Jan.

Damn, Cisse nearly scored a stunning a equaliser. Not sure why he kissed the ground after his first at Old Trafford, he might be a bit confused over that ritual xD

@faux_carnation Eh? So he's written off at 21/22? Madness. He's hardly had any first team games before this season either.

    Does he?

I mean if he got away with that, he got away with one, what else has he gotten away with?

It doesn't matter how many things he's gotten away with it, the fact of the matter is that he did this against a Liverpool player.

Shh, that's what I'm trying to hint at.

The trouble is that at that age, you start taking up a place in the squad of 25. That's not a problem right now as our squad of senior players is so thin, but when it starts filling out again, he needs to have done enough to earn that place ahead of someone else. If he were a year or two younger, it wouldn't be a problem.

Watch him in future, you'll see. He's all niggly cynical little fouls all the time and he gets away with them.

No he really is a mong
You have to be a mong to support Newcastle; come May we’ll all have Down syndrome.

I'm glad we're out of the league cup - focus on the prem and Europa now.
Glad Cisse finally got a goal, they may pour in now

It's a shame his overhead kick didn't go in; it was better than Rooney's.

Reminded me of Berbatov's against Liverpool, except Berbatov was in line with the corner of the goal rather than the centre, if Cisse hadn't caught it as cleanly it might've had a better chance.
