I went to Itsu and had egg drop miso soup with dumplings and some edamame. It was okay but I spilt some soup on my shirt and it looks like it'll never come out :(

Didn't get a chance to make lunch this morning, so an apple and three chocolate digestives. I'm hungry.

I had a Misson burrito as I'm hungover from last night's antics. Staying up til 3 on a school night serves me right!

Got a wholewheat bagel with manchego cheese, artichoke hearts lightly marinated in olive oil resting on a crisp bed of home grown lettuce. And a bunch of fruit; apple, banana and some plums. Eating a lot of fruit these days.

How does that work out? Do you end up eating more outwith the fasting time? Curious to know?

Anecdotally, my Brown Friends all seem doubly pissy during Ramadan, first due to not being able to eat or drink anything during the day, coupled with the lack of sleep from having to host midnight feasts / eat and drink enough during the night for the daytime.

My take away from this is Allah must be kind of a dick.

Just read about it. Didn't know you are not allowed to drink also. You are also not supposed to indulge in 'bad deeds' which seems entirely sensible and not something one should do anyway. While I'm not religious I do respect the sense of community and identity that these kind of events inspire. Fasting like that must make people appreciate food a lot more.

I'm doing tempura vegetables with a number of different dipping sauces.

I'm mentioning it here in case there's a terrible fat fire and the fire investigators need to get some background.

Home made salad. Just almost-off lettuce, an egg, and a bit of ham.
With a dash of Japanese mayo.

    It was shit.
