    Hey all..

Just a little message to inform you of a football game I'm currently developing with some likeminded people at our indie dev startup called Kimera Studios - some of you already know about this but just in case anybody would like to know about it here's a little bit of information:

    Features:

    * Player skill based gameplay
    * Realtime 3D Graphics
    * Single, two player & multiplayer: LAN & online
    * log file record results and let you review your global ranking
    * Adjust settings for rules and difficulty
    * Friendly games and cup and league competitions
    * Create custom cup & league competitions
    * Customise data for tactics, teams and footballers
    * Edit, save and load data in-game or use a simple text editor
    * Create your own kits and club logo and banner
    * Save replays and send them to your friends
*Get your name in the game!

To read more about it please visit our site: World of Football - and also check out the forum! =)

Click here to see some screenshots:

    - to avoid spamming the forum with multiple threads I've asked EG if it was ok to create a thread for my indie game project called World of Football - and luckily they gave me the go ahead! So if you consider this spam please just ignore this thread in the future!

If it plays as much like a 3D Sensi soccer/Kick off clone as it looks then you could be on to a winner keep us up to date with progress.

@Bill door - glad to hear, I felt it was the right thing to do.. I love being here on the EG forum - and EG in general so didn't want to risk anything! =)

It should play a little like a mix of Sensi/KO and PES/FIFA.. - a bit more advanced than the old games and less complicated than the new games.. =)

This thread is mainly intented for posting updates etc.. - of course I'd love to address any questions etc. also! =)

Looks alright. How are you going to publish it? Or will it just be available to download?

If it plays alright then one suggestion is more customisation, players, teams, leagues etc.

    Good luck, etcs.

    Thx! - We'll probably self-publish online..

    - more customisation, than already promised, or more than other football games in general?

I meant more than normal, I actually read the site this time and it seems you've got all I said. Thumbs up!

How much will tactics, formations, etc. take part in the gameplay? Or will it play more like a kick about in the park? How much work have you put into AI? What about Physics?

    Sorry, just a bit bored...

Tactics etc should play a huge part.. a tactic editor is in the design also (to be released with the game).. We have really good physics - and collision is detected for every limb..

    - and here's a new screenshot of the.. "team-formation" screen..

    team-formation

The other screens have had slight updates so I'll put them here also..

Ah! no, but I can test and as you can tell from the forums my l337 world football knowledge is unparralled.

Does this mean we'll finally see the dreaded handball implemented in a footy game?

It was in PES3 if I recall correctly.. We haven't taken a yes or no stance on it yet. The technology is in place to make it possible but many people hated it in PES3.. if it can be balanced well (to happen very rarely) I see no reason to not put it in.. =)

We're now accepting new registrants for our "name-in-game" feature, follow this link for all the information you'll need:

    name-in-game

Sign up for your club team and see your name and number on the back of the shirt in the game - you can even design the look of your footballer by selecting skin colour, hair style, boots and much more.

Once registered you'll automatically take part in competitions. Prizes include being selected for the national team, earning the captains armband and getting a custom picture of your footballer.

    Cheers! =)

You'll be able to edit any and all teams including club logo's, tactics, the players - names, numbers and appearance if you please..

I pity the fool who challenge 11 Mr. T's.. =P

This looks fantastic! When will it be ready? Any chance of you submitting it to Live arcade?

Thx! We go by the "its ready when its ready" paradigm.. its a part-time hobby project but once its done we will look into the best ways of getting it out to as many as possible.. due to financial reasons we're only making a pc version at the moment..

No round-house kicks I'm afraid - unless its a tribute to Cantona maybe!? =P

@Fozziebear.. Sorry man, you replied in the wrong place, please check the forum for more info..

I've already thought of my lineup... :-)

Err... *ahem* would it be possible to have a roundhouse-kick animation for volleys? Not that I want a specific player to have it, or anything...

Are you mad? The computer hasn't been built which could handle Mr T vs Chuck Norris, let alone 11 of each!

Ecanem - oops. sorry about that/ have put post in proper place now. If possible I should be an Emile Heskey type - big lad but shit in the air and very good at falling over :)

I'm trying to come up with some imaginary names or brands for the commercials on the boards around the pitch etc. - not having much luck though, so - got any ideas?

(They should sound and look real, but not be too close to any known brands either)..
